Re: Rankin
Pete needs to be left at centre, where he is the better player. I would go with Hodgson at fullback with Turner as back up. We have got to stop playing people out of position just for the sake of it.
Hopefully Evalds comes in early.

Re: Rankin
Thought Rankin gave 100%
However he had no future here at the moment.
So returning to Oz to family and friends and where the pandemic has not been as devastating makes perfect sense.
He plays for a living as spectators and fans we don't have the same objectivty.
Good Luck Jordan.
I agree about keeping Pete at centre.
Turner and Hodgson?
Can't comment on Hodgson.
As for Turner our coaches obviously see something so lets see what they do.
Actually that's all we can ever do.

Re: Rankin
Hodgson is a revelation at Cas. Listening to the podcasts during lockdown the club obviously think a lot about him. Watched some clips of him on the back of the podcasts playing for England and I think he got MOTM. Heard he had a choice of clubs at 16 so you question if he's staying on the back of us getting Evalds for 4 years? Tipped to be the best fullback coming through superleague though if you believe what you read? Tony
Re: Rankin
I think we know Powell well enough now to know there's no chance of him playing a 17 year old kid in a pivotal position like full back. Would neither benefit him or the club to throw a kid of that age into Super League

Re: Rankin
Let's give young Turner a crack. He's a Cas lad and it'll be make or break for him. Leave him at FB whatever, cos like I've said before, playing a young bloke out of position is just going to do anyone's confidence no good at all. If it works out, then great, but if not, at least the lad has had a crack. JR was doing ok and I'm sure would have improved even more, but family does come first, even as much as we love the game. Re: Rankin
Didn’t do jack walker much harm when Leeds realised ash Golding was shocking
Re: Rankin
Anyone in doubt about Hodgson needs to listen to the recent pod casts. Ste Mills in particular. I hear what you’re saying about DP and youth but when did we last have a youngster been mentioned like this kid at 17? Agree, Leeds did it with Walker in a final. Tony

Re: Rankin
How old was he at Debut, might be wrong but I'm thinking 17 if not just 18. Tony
Re: Rankin
I'd just let Hodgson learn his trade let him do the talking on the field... would be my advice for what its worth

You are right. He was 8 days passed his 18th birthday when he debuted from the bench at home against Huddersfield.TonyM wrote: ↑01 Jun 2020, 11:31How old was he at Debut, might be wrong but I'm thinking 17 if not just 18. Tony
Therefore, the last 17 year old we got excited about would’ve been Joe Westerman

Re: Rankin
The question marks sum Gigot up perfectly,I don't think even he knows what he wants, after weeks of will he won't he at the Dragons peeing everyone there off he rocks up at Toronto having in between had discussions with Tolouse, trained with Union side Avignon while simultaneously having discussions with an Italian Union side,he's a busy lad alright. No doubting he can play but any odds you like on where he'll turn up next.Fumper27 wrote: ↑01 Jun 2020, 14:32Tony Gigot???old cas lass wrote: ↑01 Jun 2020, 14:18
