Technically Rankin is still a Huddersfield player and Wardle is ours, so if Rankin is leaving early it's Huddersfield's player leaving early not ours. I wouldn't particularly want Wardle back mind.

100% agree with this
I hope Jordan At least see’s the year out with us he is quite a pivotal figure in the team and comes across as a decent bloke

No he wouldn’t. The loan deals were independent and not linked to one player or the other. Wardle would stay at Huddersfield as per his season long loan.

League express saying Jordan Rankin is heading home this week and left the club by mutual consent. Wish him all the best but hopefully we have a replacement (hopefully evalds early) or Bailey hodgson.

Can't remember anyone mentioning we were looking at Jack Ashworth
The only hints at the players were after appear when the Rugby League Express goes online Sunday night

On Rankin I would imagine we've got someone coming in proberly Evalds early if we're letting JR go back to Australia this week
Could play Eden at full-back as we've got three other good wingers or give young Hodgson a go I suppose

Not Eden there, he's not a full back, give Bailey a chance, or if it's deemed too early for him (he is very young!), put Pete there until Evalds comes in. Anyone but Eden, its been proven he can't play there many times.

Like I say if Rankins off there will be some other cunning plan
Id have Eden over Mautautia if it came to it at full-back all same

If we even have a season but I'd go

Pete
Feki
Blair
Shenton
Eden/olpherts
Richardson

Apparently Gigot is up for grabs. Is he worth a punt until Evalds arrives.

I’ve always thought shuffling around like this causes more damage.
Moving Pete to full back weakens us in the centre.
Moving Blair to centre weakens us in the back row.
If Rankin leaves we need to minimise the problems this causes, not exacerbate them. We’ve got Calum Turner (unless he’s out on loan and we can’t recall him), or we could look at signing Gigot on a short-term deal or ask to bring in Evalds if we can fit him under the salary cap (God knows how that will be calculated this year with most players furloughed).
