The goverment are paying the (furloughed) wages and the club are receiving their full payment from Sky. The current running costs will be significantly lower due to little or no wage bill, while paying relatively little out. Surely this should set us in good stead when the season does resume.JIN JER wrote: ↑16 May 2020, 13:50The problem as I see it tigerfeat is as soon as the players officially start training the furlough payments will cease. You then have the club having to pay staff whilst generating absolutely no income from the gate. Plus there is the infection problem, I just can’t envisage how clubs are gonna get round it.

Re: Season ticket Refund?
True. The big problem will come when games can resume, but without spectators. At that point, the club will be paying almost all wages again, but have no income from ticket sales and match-day revenue.Casmania wrote: ↑17 May 2020, 18:26The goverment are paying the (furloughed) wages and the club are receiving their full payment from Sky. Re: Season ticket Refund?
The club's won't be paying full wages again surely until crowds are allowed in grounds ...I thought that was Mr Carvells argument players getting full pay as soon as they play the game again ?

But when they’re training they’re back in work, surely the furlough scheme ceases when they are back at work?
Re: Season ticket Refund?
Gary Hethrington and it says the other West Yorkshire clubs in the League Express are wanting a big reduction in next year's salary cap like I said last night
Hetherington believes we will be feeling the effect of what's happened for years to come and should cut our cloth accordingly
Other clubs believe the game will start again in a couple of months and the game will quickly recover
All up in the air I suppose I've no idea what will happen in the months ahead but I hope the clubs and the players stick together as much as possible

Funny one this. It all boils down to personal finances. But which way the club handles it will definitely upset some. So ?
