Sounds like Salford have thrown him under the bus a little bit by blaming him and his agent for it all. Evald's has come out with a well constructed, level headed response to it all on Twitter. Looks like him and his partner have also had some death threats sent to them also.
Bet your bottom dollar if we could do it he’d come now to get away from all the nastiness.
If it’s bad now, how’s it gonna be when he’s on the field infront of the same people that are abusing him now.

I know we'd not played many games before the stop but I thought we had a chance this year
I said during the off season if we got the spine of the side right with the rest of the squad we have and Powelly coaching we'd not be far away
I wasn't sure we had the spine right but Mcshane came back playing better than ever and Richardson is a better player than I thought
With Evalds arriving next year happy times ahead when we get back to playing
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

He'll be the only one hoping games are played 'behind closed doors'.
However, I'm not sure there will be that much of a difference at Salford. Perhaps that's why he's decided to leave.

I think if anyone is to make way this season it could be eden. Heard he wants away and the club want rid, shame really as when hes on hes very good and the only player with real pace in the squad.

Mcmeeken May go early for some cash,
Junior May too
Jesse May 3.
Or...Greg Eden.
If the 4 were to leave we’d have some serious coin to improve the squad without taking TOO much out of it. Rosy times IMO.

We have pretty much played without them for a lot of games without much quality in their places and we did ok. To replace these 4, if it is 4, then as you say Mysterio good times could be around the corner.
I would keep Eden and maybe Jesse if we can mind.

Thought Eden had made his peace with the coach
I wouldn't be letting him go to Salford don't see why we need give them a player for Evalds

If it was a player swap, then surely we'd see movement mid-season - as the swap would effectively be the transfer fee. As the news says 2021, it would suggest it's a free-movement transfer of registration once his current contract expires.

They can't expect him to wait around forever while they sell /let go their best players year in year out and rebuild all over again the following season. They really need to take a long hard look and wonder why all their best players want to leave.

They could easily finish bottom without him.

I don’t really understand why he wouldn’t play for Salford again.
Didn’t Sneyd carry on playing for us when we knew he was going To Hull?
Likewise when Clarke was going to Wire he was still Selected in the Cas team?

It happens all the time Josh Jones and Hastings did it last season at Salford I don't understand some of the things that people have seen on Salford forum it dosnt make any sense to me
I looked on Salford RL fans forum and couldn't see anything maybe on Facebook or something like that

Wouldn’t let Eden go anywhere a club needs 4 good wingers.
I disagree with you there mate. I can only think of Wigan who have 4 class wingers (Marshall, Davies, Burgess, Manfredi). Most others have 2 “first choice” wingers, a decent stand in and then a utility who can cover a few positions
thought davies had gone.

Oh yeah. I stand corrected (once again) by you
. They do have Jake Bibby as well for their fourth winger

Reading between the lines and many social media posts, I get the feeling the reason behind the big fall out between Evald's & the fans/board, more so than the likes of Jones, Hastings and Dudson who is Catalan bound next season is because he's been there 10+ years and come through the ranks, he's basically Salford through and through.
It is causing a lot of unrest for Salford fans who are confused as to whether he's - A) leaving a sinking ship B) using Cas as a stepping stone for a 'bigger club' or C) they don't think coming to us is much of a step up for him.
However, 90% are blaming Iestyn Harris for selling himself out for more cash.

Cheers mate ...only thing I'd argue on is I think he will win trophys if he stays at Cas for next few years
