Matt Cook at Leeds a few years ago.

Post by corvusxiii » 18 Apr 2020, 23:23

As I remember it Matt broke a tackle a long way from home but Leeds defence were swarming all around him. Somehow he looses them, buggers off up field at some pace. Then, just as he is about to be tackled just short of what would have been a fantastic try, he magics up a late pass to the support? who scores. Could have broke down at several points but Matt did really well.
Thing is I can't find it on YouTube. Anyone help?

We scored two back to back tries that day that were pretty similar, the first was cooks run to gale I think, second was Roberts breaking, passing to gale who went back to Roberts to score. Still got that game recorded on my virgin box for those two tries.

Thanks Derby Tiger, this has cheered my Sunday morning up no end.
It's great stuff but I can remember the Cook break at the time and thinking nowt will come of this. If I'd been commentating it would have been hilarious.
Again, the Gale-Roberts interplay was delicious. I was looking for the last pass and still missed it. Cheers!
