Guessing that will be a sell out. What’s capacity of York’s ground.
Re: York it is
Lovely. Nice day in York. If you've not been. The ground is right next to the city. Perfect.

Great result for me this, walking distance via a few of my local pubs

Re: York it is
Just our luck that the whole draw is favourable for us in a year where nothing is certain in terms of whether the competition will even get started.

We should play the whole competition as a 9s tournament at Magic Weekend.

Re: York it is
Given the notoriously lower attendances, is it likely that the CC may actually be a round played behind closed doors? Would only need to be televised then.
Could create a virtual ticket for say £10 that everyone who wants to can buy, still giving clubs vital revenue?
On another note, this is a great tie. Would love to go to York for the day.

We’re probably going to have to do something pretty radical though. Either scrap the cup altogether or have a very, very short league season.the machine wrote: ↑16 Mar 2020, 21:08Nonottinghamtiger wrote: ↑16 Mar 2020, 20:57 We should play the whole competition as a 9s tournament at Magic Weekend.

Scrapping it is more likely scenarionottinghamtiger wrote: ↑16 Mar 2020, 21:49We’re probably going to have to do something pretty radical though. 9s is always one of those suggestions from a few fans on social media

Re: York it is
Maybe the success of the NRL 9s has prompted the idea. We already have a two-day event in Magic Weekend - why not offer something different and exciting, rather than just regular games? I’m not suggesting that we replace the Challenge Cup every year, but we could do it this year given the circumstances (if we are back up and running again by May).the machine wrote: ↑16 Mar 2020, 22:24Scrapping it is more likely scenarionottinghamtiger wrote: ↑16 Mar 2020, 21:49We’re probably going to have to do something pretty radical though. Re: York it is
If the tie gets played in 2028 it has an outside chance of getting played at the new ground. It'll be Bootham Crescent I'm afraid. Great old ground though, so it will be like a home match :dance:old cas lass wrote: ↑18 Mar 2020, 14:58Will it be played at the new ground.

Toilet doors? The toilets are basically a large hollowed out section of earth where you pee up a wall. Imagine a WW1 trench.Fumper27 wrote: ↑18 Mar 2020, 18:59Do the toilet doors lock???
