Whilst I was in Pinders, they had two deaths, and also one in Dewsbury

Thank you for all the well wishes, I think we are past the worst now however we both feel terrible. We are so tired and drained it’s as if our body’s have had to put in an almighty fight to beat the virus.

Here here,

Sirocco I’m sorry if this is insensitive but can you tell us as much about the onset and the symptoms when fully blown.

My dad is one of the 1.5millions and I’m scared to death and want to help him.

Thank GOD i had the foresight 3 weeks ago ro order 2 44l oxygen tanks and saturation measurement. Any time he goes below 90% is time for a blast and a 999.

There won’t be one player rocking the boat it would be the ultimAte height of selfishness.

I can however see a few transfers going through at some point; £150k for princess to keep us afloat would be welcome and no shortage of takers with rich backers,

The government pay 80% up to £2,500 per month. That is an annual salary of £30,000. How many of our players do you think are on less than that?

Very few of the players will be on £30,000 or less.
I don’t profess to have an in-depth understanding, but if the players are furloughed can the club still pay the rest of their wage? So would this be a £2,500 contributing from government per player per month, with the club paying the rest if their wage, or do we have to stop all payments to them to get the government contribution?

Quite a few of the clubs have agreed to furlough their staff and I would be surprised if Cas wasn't one of them. Many people will have to survive off the 80% contribution from the government and the players will have to get bye on it also, after all we are all in it together.
Without this help clubs like Cas just couldn't survive.

Wakefield and Hull are two clubs that have applied for this both have said there players will be paid there normal due wages for March but after that I would have thought unlikely they would get there normal full wage

I dont profess to know how much my son gets paid as it is none of my business but in the position he is in i should think he will be over the £30,000 per year, he told me with the 80% the government was stumping up he was being kept on even though his place of work was shut down

Yes, Notts, if the club choose to they can ‘top up’ the government £2500 if they choose to/can afford to. As a business owner myself I have spent many hours on the phone to my legal people over the last week finding out every loophole possible!

Thanks. In that case, it seems a no-brainier.
If we furlough the players, the government will contribute £2,500 per month towards the wage of every player. That’s a significant amount of money saved across the whole squad (let’s say there are 25 players earning over 30k, that’s £62,500) plus 80% of the wage of any payer earning less than 30k.
The club and would then need to make an agreement with individual players about how much they are paid by the club over the £2,500. Hopefully many of the players would agree to a cut during this time, especially given the prospect of not having an employer to return to should they demand their full salary!

Notts, Derby - Adding in NW Leics, right on the border of both -

That is the quandary for all people asked to Furlough, if everyone knew 3 months at 80% or £2500 was the end of it, I think most people would do it for the greater good. The difficulty is will it be done in 3 months?
Having the same conversations in my company right now.
