It's probably going to cost the country 100s of billions before things are sorted, which by far outweighs some pension and care costs savings.
In addition, why are the government emphasising and supporting the isolation of the sick and vulnerable.
Can't believe people peddle such drivel.
I think lurcher and myself were being light hearted.
Chill ya beans.
Re: Rugby league to suspend season.
Well I've seen it all as stated earlier I work in a supermarket. Saw two guys sparring up to each other over a reduced cheesecake. Come on get a grip. Lol

Maintaing the humour, I think it's more a case of the 'old folk', by and large, voted for Brexit so we're planning on taking a few out and having another vote!

I can see games stating to be played behind close doors 2-3 games a week maybe the Wigan and Saints chairmen hinted that's what could happen with the season extended into early December or late November
The Manly v Roosters game was a cracking match this morning and with little live sport to be seen that game will have been watched all around the world great showcase for rugby league

I'm afraid there's Some Selfish thinking here Tigerfeat !!
LISTEN UP ! They should not even be endangering the players who have to be making physical contact with other players and then be a potential transmitter to their families and then on and on it goes !
I know we are all hacked off with no sport to watch (and with Cas Team looking really good just now !!), but we are watching a potential demise of society here and death on our doorsteps, so don't you think we should rather be safe and isolate everything as much as possible than even contemplate behind closed doors matches ??

Re: Rugby league to suspend season.
No playing games behind close doors at this time not feasible i think the NRL rightly came to that conclusion today ,people's health and wellbeing is all that matters

I know tigerfeat where you're coming from but, and it's quite a big but. I'd rather the season be suspended and possibly for as long as it takes so as none of the players or club staff of the Tigers or any other club for that matter gets infected and unknowingly passes it on to whoever. For some the outcome could be someone's loved ones getting infected and possibly their lives being permanently suspended if you know what I mean. Let's hope it passes through ASAP with as few casualties as possible.
Re: Rugby league to suspend season.
SAD to say it but i think we can forget rugby starting again this year , keep safe and best of luck to one and all
Re: Rugby league to suspend season.
Don’t agree can see it starting late July till December.
Think we will scrap loop fixtures and just play home and away.
Next season will start April same again play once home and away.

Am I right in thinking the RL powers that be are meeting today? We might know a little more tomorrow.

Re: Rugby league to suspend season.
RFL & SL say season suspension will be extended beyond April
Re: Rugby league to suspend season.
My opinion, Magic weekend is gone, challenge cup final gone, best we can hope for is possibly rugby in September, no loop fixtures.
