Re: Saints up next
To be fair, Massey is called offside as Walmsley runs at him, so it leaves a big hole down the middle. But it's a very good sign when the only negatives are 2 poor kicks in 80 minutes and 1 missed tackleCasRus wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 20:39 I thought this was an absolutely magnificent performance from the Lads !
If I was being nit picky it would be the kicks that went dead and the way they clocked off and let big Batley lad through dead easy for Thompson to score their last try and their first try where our winger went awol in marking them out of that play.

To a man, the commitment and desire was there in abundance.
Saints do look poor under Woolf. They’d have challenged us much much much more under JH. But the fact is we’re amongst the leading clubs right now,
All fronts looks positive, as someone says one more genuine prop would be amazing. Or moors in the side,
Princess can go for me btw.

Cracking performance. Just makes last week all the more disappointing/frustrating. Play with half that intensity and we’d have walloped Warrington.

Re: Saints up next
Beat Wigan, beat st Helen's,should of beat warrington away. Not bad at all considering our injuries.
Re: Saints up next
If somebody said to me we would be 5 from 7 having played
Catalan away
Wire away
Wigan home
Saints home
I would be chuffed. Catalan being the only game we got properly beat which happens pretty much every year.

Re: Saints up next
I always think it’s useful to look at the equivalent fixtures from last year,
If we substitute Toronto for London:
2019 - won away at London; 2020 - won away at Toronto.
2019 - won at home against Wigan; 2020 - won at home against Wigan.
2019 - lost away to Catalans; 2020 - lost away to Catalans.
2019 - won at home against Wakefield; 2020 - won at home against Wakefield.
2019 - lost away to Hull KR; 2020 - won away at Hull KR.
2019 - lost away at Warrington; 2020 - lost away at Warrington.
2019 - lost at home to St Helens; 2020 - won at home to St Helens.
So in summary, we’ve won two more games than the equivalent fixtures in 2019. And we’ve only played seven games. Last year we took 6 points from a possible 14 in these fixtures; in 2020 we’ve taken 10 from a possible 14.
That’s a very good start to our season.

Saints fans in melt down on redvee.
How dare he say we were bang average Side, cheeky Git.
Everything about that was diabolical, there’s not a single positive I can find from that not that there should be given we’ve just been well beaten by a bang average side.

To be fair, sounds like a lot of our fans on here last week when we were beaten by one point by Wane’s England squadold cas lass wrote: ↑16 Mar 2020, 12:22 Saints fans in melt down on redvee.

Re: Saints up next
Saints fans will be even more livid when the notes say they should have had a penalty for the trip by McMeeken on Grace.
In the spirit of the final Blackadder episode - Goooodbyeee!

Don’t think it was a trip, he moved across grace to put him off a clear run to the line,
Possible penalty, yes. They scrutinised it and HIcks thought it ok.
Saints fans believe no other club have a right to beat them, they throw a right paddy when they do.
Re: Saints up next
I thought that too, it was SUBLIME.
I can’t believe sky’s team weren’t frothing at the mouth at the touch; without the know how there is no try. Most other players knock on or kick dead,
