Saints up next
Re: Saints up next
how did peanut get the head knock had to go to the loo so missed itSuffolkTiger wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 19:16 Cracking win. First half was as good as I've seen us for 2 years.
The only blot on the copy book was the kicking close to the line. Still needs sorting out as failure to execute releases pressure on the opposition.
Every player stood up today. PM outstanding at centre before his head knock.
World class centre play from Cheyse for that vital try (sorry flow/on side etc...!)
Re: Saints up next
I've seen and heard players and fans say the same....the question is why not?!!?HuddsTigers wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 18:39
Impossible to maintain that intensity every week but set a high benchmark for when we return, should we see a postponement.
If getting in their faces and tackling well is classed as "intensity" and not expected every week then we will never win anything.

Blair looks a proper player banging everybody that comes near him in defence and very hard to stop now near line as he was for StormSuffolkTiger wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 19:16 Cracking win. First half was as good as I've seen us for 2 years.

Re: Saints up next
Hasn’t Blair scored all his tries this season whilst playing in the centres. He was in the centre, outside McMeekan when he scored today. Also on the centre v Catalan and Wigan as Peanut was banned.
Re: Saints up next
One of the most complete performances for a long time. If as expected it is the last game for a while it was a great way to finish.
Re: Saints up next
I thought this was an absolutely magnificent performance from the Lads !
If I was being nit picky it would be the kicks that went dead and the way they clocked off and let big Batley lad through dead easy for Thompson to score their last try and their first try where our winger went awol in marking them out of that play.

Their first try seemed to be a couple of metres forward after just watching the replay.CasRus wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 20:39 I thought this was an absolutely magnificent performance from the Lads !

He scored a belter in the right centre today Flow, but I agree he’s taken to playing second row and has become one of the first names on the team sheet be it second row or centre.on side wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 20:00Think he's enjoying playing in forwards suits him better now then centretigerfeat wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 19:51Blair looks a proper player banging everybody that comes near him in defence and very hard to stop now near line as he was for StormSuffolkTiger wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 19:16 Cracking win. Many of us predicted Cheyse would come good with a proper pre season and it looks like we are being proved right.

Re: Saints up next
To be fair, Massey is called offside as Walmsley runs at him, so it leaves a big hole down the middle. But it's a very good sign when the only negatives are 2 poor kicks in 80 minutes and 1 missed tackleCasRus wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 20:39 I thought this was an absolutely magnificent performance from the Lads !

To a man, the commitment and desire was there in abundance.
Saints do look poor under Woolf. They’d have challenged us much much much more under JH. But the fact is we’re amongst the leading clubs right now,
All fronts looks positive, as someone says one more genuine prop would be amazing. Or moors in the side,
Princess can go for me btw.
