So grant wants to go again next year.
What’s everyone’s thoughts.
Daryl even said it just goes to show what the last year of a contract does.
Meaning the way he is performing, imo shouldn’t he be performing no matter what, not just in his last season.
I love milo, he’s been a revelation for the club, my worry would be he gets another year knows it’s his last and doesn’t perform.
So how do we see it going, yay or nay.

Re: Grant Millington
I think Grant is “too professional” to not perform just be sure it’s his last season as a pro. Maybe he knows himself he wasn’t good enough last season, and is pulling out all the stops to correct that?

Re: Grant Millington
Maybe. Depends on the other options we might be be offered. He’s a quota player so holds a valuable spot in the squad that we could utilise on someone who can offer more years,
BUT saying that, even at 34 there won’t be many better props than a fit Grant Millington.

Re: Grant Millington
I think Millo will stay with us for 2 more seasons. Yes, Two.
With an option to retire / be paid up during year 2 if injuries bite to enable us to replace him.
For mine, Daniel Smith is quickly turning info a millo performance clone. The guy has it all and clearly has just needed to be matched with the right coach and club, and believe in his future there.

He's served us well no problem if wants another year. Still a class player. If he thinks he's still capable of doing another year I for one would support him.

I’d get rid and bring someone else in next season him and Moors to leave and maybe Rankin would leave us chance to sign some good talent.
Re: Grant Millington
Millo has started the season great. I wouldn't rush into anything yet though. Wait until mid season before deciding. Who knows whatt may happen and who may come available in the NRL
Re: Grant Millington
I remember laughing when someone told me DP thought he would be Millingtons long term replacement he literally didn't have a club I don't think at the time or maybe was on loan somewhere ,just come into his own at Cas under the coaches we haveMysterio wrote: ↑29 Feb 2020, 15:55 I think Millo will stay with us for 2 more seasons. Re: Grant Millington
I wrote him off last year but he is playing well this year. Made a big impact against HKR after losing Watts. Still not convinced he has more than this year in him at top level though. See how he goes against Wire and Saints.
Re: Grant Millington
Too early to say. Yes he’s started well but it’s only 5 games. Lets see how he goes and if he performs well and stays healthy then he might be worth another year. No longer than that though.

Re: Grant Millington
Millo has been great for Cas. A old head on a body that has had some umpy. We are better when he is on the field without a doubt. If he wants another year and looks good for another year, let him have another year. Some of the other lads look up to him and that's a good thing. So, let's keep him if he wants to play on. COYF
Re: Grant Millington
When is it he can start talking to other clubs six weeks or so not that I think he will leave cas but he would be snapped up by any other super league club in a flash

Yes that's it , he had one poor season when he might not have been unable to shake off a injury I don't know ,he's playing as well as ever again anyway

Re: Grant Millington
I’m sure he once said, and I’m sure I didn’t dream it, he could never play for another club and wanted to end his career with cas.
I’m sure he will.
I’m sure he will.
Re: Grant Millington
Last year he looked shot and ready to hang his boots up.this year for whatever reason he is rejuvenated and if he can carry on as he is I hope he goes around again with us.dont think we can underestimate his influence in the squad which would be very hard to replace

Re: Grant Millington
Hope Cas don't rush in to any thing with Millo, his form so far as been good , see what it is like half way through the season.
