Squad for 2021
Great article by Aaron Bower on total rugby league site about the day he spent at Cas in December

I agree, although I'm sure there may be one or two red herrings in there... I can't see DP letting other SL coaching staff know his recruitment strategy... surely not?

Pivot will be Jamie Shaul - out of contract and Wells has been talking him up big time on Sky.
SL forward who's mates with Junior & Jesse could be any number of players, the NRL forward no clue at all.

Re: Squad for 2021
I’m not convinced they haven’t set him up a little bit.
Much talk of one out-of-contract player and how he is key to further recruitment. I don’t think we’ve got a player coming off-contract that has that much influence on other players wanting to join the club. Mike McMeeken is probably the best of our players who will be out-of-contract and re-signing him would probably be the biggest decision as I guess he’ll want to most money over the longest period. This then means one less “new” signing.
I’d guess that “prominent pivot” we are monitoring is Evalds.
No mention of players leaving at the end of the year either, though I suspect Moors and Millington will both depart. I thought JSL would probably return home to be with his family too, but you get the feeling from reading the article that the club see him staying at the club.

The thing that looking at an NRL forward suggests is that one of our current non-fed players will probably leave. Sound like a prop, so we are either looking at replacing Moors, Millington or both.TheSheriff wrote: ↑18 Feb 2020, 16:47 Pivot will be Jamie Shaul - out of contract and Wells has been talking him up big time on Sky.

SL forward who’s mates with the boys and off-contract looks likely to be Ben Murdoch-Masila, what a signing that would be though!!TheSheriff wrote: ↑18 Feb 2020, 16:47 Pivot will be Jamie Shaul - out of contract and Wells has been talking him up big time on Sky.

Re: Squad for 2021
Wouldn’t surprise me. Very similar player to Junior Moors and we were interested last year, but not willing to match his Huddersfield salary.SWISS TONY!! wrote: ↑18 Feb 2020, 17:07 Ikihahifo? Hes only on loan at Salford, who knows if he has a decent season

Very interesting article, feel as if ikahihifo is the target from super league, the one from the Nrl would be great to know, I feel the pivot would be Niall Evalds who would be a great capture if that was possible.

Re: Squad for 2021
He was thought to be going back to Aus next season, wasn’t he? With Wire possibly hunting for McMeeken as a replacement... Re: Squad for 2021
Hasn’t Tinirau Arona only recently signed a new deal with Wakefield? If so, it could have been him they were talking about as he’s always with JSL.Easy Tiger 2 wrote: ↑18 Feb 2020, 16:56SL forward who’s mates with the boys and off-contract looks likely to be Ben Murdoch-Masila, what a signing that would be though!!TheSheriff wrote: ↑18 Feb 2020, 16:47 Pivot will be Jamie Shaul - out of contract and Wells has been talking him up big time on Sky.

My guess would be Matagi from Huddersfield since they have all played with Samoa together.

Good call. One of the few players to go well at Huddersfield last year too.HuddsTigers wrote: ↑18 Feb 2020, 23:19 My guess would be Matagi from Huddersfield since they have all played with Samoa together.
