Re: Les Catalans
Have I seen somewhere that Les Cats have now secured a TV deal, though probably not in time for Sky to get involved before our game?

Re: Les Catalans
I believe Canal+ have re-entered in negotiations since the Folau signing. Might be sorted by their next home game, will probably take Sky another month or so after that to piggy back off the deal.

Re: Les Catalans
Anyone remember last time we won in the South of France? seems a while ago. Not a great hunting ground for us.
Read that McNamara said Folau is a few week away yet and David Mead is out. Hard to tell what sort of Catalan we will face with them only having played once.
IF we do win Saturday, we already put a nice 6 point buffer between us and Leeds/Catalan - the 2 teams everyone has tipped to finish above us for the top 5.

Wasn’t it 2017 when Zak went the length to score and Jy scored the winner his Superman try in the corner.

Re: Les Catalans
Checked in Betfred yesterday, now 5th in betting behind Saints, Wire Leeds and Hull. 10-1 I think? Cats 18-1.heritage1926 wrote: ↑11 Feb 2020, 11:06 Anyone remember last time we won in the South of France? seems a while ago. Not a great hunting ground for us.

Re: Les Catalans
Sorry, Saints Wire Wigan and Hull...not Leeds, my typo..........
Re: Les Catalans
With a few coming back and no new reported injuries we should be able to field a good side, i tipped us to lose last week so i will keep my thoughts to myself this week

Re: Les Catalans
This week we could either get a backlash of the Folau mess or we could put a number on them and make a statement to show we won’t be easy to beat this year. Looking at the fixtures we have Wakefield next week and Hull kr the week after which are both the weaker sides on paper so if results go our way we could be 5/5 which is a perfect start to the season for us, especially if we don’t get no injuries and players returning to fitness, it looks very exiting indeed.
Re: Les Catalans
Hull KR away will be a tough gig. From what I saw of the Derby, they have some good players, who look in sync with each other. But if we are to be classed as challengers, they we should be winning the next 3...MrRugby123 wrote: ↑11 Feb 2020, 17:36 This week we could either get a backlash of the Folau mess or we could put a number on them and make a statement to show we won’t be easy to beat this year. Apology accepted but a terrible error to make. Definite detention material. 1000 lines of "what was I thinking of? Leeds will struggle again"cogito ergo sum wrote: ↑11 Feb 2020, 12:38 Sorry, Saints Wire Wigan and Hull...not Leeds, my typo..........
Re: Les Catalans
For those interested Cas have only won 4 times in Perpignan as follows:-
2009 24-22
2010 20-16
2016 34-28
2017 32-24
A lot depends on the time of year Cas play there as I think our first 2 wins were early in the season when the weather was less hot as it will be this Saturday.
