Next up Wigan

Post by heritage1926 » 02 Feb 2020, 21:06

Always look forward to playing Wigan at home. Especially on a Friday night under the lights.

Should hopefully have Holmes and Junior back, but no Griffin after failing his head test. Apparently it's now 8 days they have to have.

Wonder if Powell will make it for them? Burgess certainly out according to love RL., and Smithies may have a date with the beak!

They’ve moved it to 8 days so there is no advantage for any team based in when they play the following week.
In almost all cases, anyone who fails a head test isn’t playing the next game. The only chance is if a player fails a head test on Thursday/Friday and the following game is on a Sunday.

According to the Met Office forecast - Friday looks set fair for the game. Dry and chilly in Castleford and the surrounding parishes.

People saying it was only Toronto yesterday but it was clear with the two young half backs looking like they will be the real deal and mcshane back to his best we will be a team that can beat anybody this season
Hastings and French are quality players we need to keep them quite, game that could go either way but playing at home I fancy cas

Wigan are a different beast to Toronto and this should give us a greater feel to where we are at the moment.
Wigan hate coming down the lane and we should make it as uncomfortable as possible for them. Looking forward to seeing Hepi getting stuck into Wigan’s young grubs and putting them in there place.
I’m going for a narrow cas win 22-18

Sorry mucky. Getting confused at my age is a common theme. You said Wigan would put 50 on us after we snook past TWP

Weird one Wigan, I think it is all about the start.
No one has any great confidence in the bank yet, so think we have to start well and get on top if we can.

Don't think this will be easy or a particularly big score either way. Suspect bookies will give us +4.5?

That's in the range but doubtful it will go as high, currently Cas +2 but that will probably change once the Injury news comes through from Wigan.

I might go rogue and offer the +4.5 myself! (I won't too hard to earn to fritter away)
I backed us on Sunday to cover the handicap, I was confident earlier on the thread about it, I expected 2 score winners.

This week, as you say, before I punt the housekeeping, I want to see the squads.
