If cas were blowing every team away every week I’d be delighted.
Didn’t we do that in 2017 and we we’re exstatic.

It was very boring Gateman unless you were a Saints fan, can't see anyone beating them again.

Re: Toronto at Headingley
How far backwards we’ve gone pains me.
Anyway
Blair 2nd 2 no doubt. Griffin too or Moors/hepi
Cannot believe we’ve needled junior up after what he’s been through
It’s a joke

Re: Toronto at Headingley
Here we go again.
God l miss my rugby.
Will we reach the heady heights of 2017 not likely.
Will we suffer the heart ache of 2006 sorry naysayers we won't.
It will be another season of highs and lows.
Another season where we all know better than the board, the coach.,the conditioner.
Another season of moaning about Sky messing fans about.
So we will be there. Moaning, groaning and hoping for another night like the semi against St Helens.
So lets get behind the boys and maybe just maybe.
Naw!!

Looking at likely teams id say we're fairy even so game could go either way. Either we just scrap through or Toronto come out with all the enthusiasm for their first match and steal the win.

Re: Toronto at Headingley
I think there will be only a score in it either way today. Hopefully we come out on top.
As for the season I don’t see us threatening the top of the table this year unfortunately,it’s not been negative it’s weighing things up and with the squad we have I think we are mid table at best. Maybe a cup run would be nice and some open flowing rugby.

i think you have got this right mate, i will settle for that and i love the idea of open rugby i hate this five drives and a kick that seems to dominate our gamebraytontiger wrote: ↑02 Feb 2020, 09:51 I think there will be only a score in it either way today. Hopefully we come out on top.

Re: Toronto at Headingley
I think we would all settle for some free flowing rugby. I know everyone talks about 2017 where we were breathtaking but the past two years I’ve been bored to death with the brand of rugby we’ve played it’s been amongst the worst I’ve seen from us in the 40 years I’ve been going. We have the half back pairing the coach wanted so a continuation would not cut it.gateman wrote: ↑02 Feb 2020, 09:58i think you have got this right mate, i will settle for that and i love the idea of open rugby i hate this five drives and a kick that seems to dominate our gamebraytontiger wrote: ↑02 Feb 2020, 09:51 I think there will be only a score in it either way today. Fairy even!
Good job young Isreal isn't an board administator.
After yesterday's defeat he may take a short break to cheer himself up.
Perhaps to Gay Paree.
Off topic not PC just getting giddy with kick off looming.

Re: Toronto at Headingley
Totally agree with above comments the rugby played throughout SL is stereotyped, formulistic and incredibly boring.
I've followed Cas since 60's and have never been uninterested in RL.
Watched YCF 77 Cas v F'stone and was amazed at the number of set moves each side had. Cas had ploy where the ball was moved from PTB l to r thro 3/4 players then one pivoted turned thro' 360° and passed to player running opposite to sliding defence ...caused havoc.
F'stone had move where ball in hands of player with mates running diagonal across him r to l, l to r and straight past him and he had choice of who to pass.
Think later the Barrie Johnson drift from PTB one way then ball to Wardie which inevitably brought a score......
Why dont our coaches nowadays dring moves like these in instead the God awful 5 drives and a kick.
ps. Setting off for Headingley in spite of the above ....its in yer blood
