Warm weather training.

Post by frainthepain » 05 Jan 2020, 14:14

Seems a lot of the Super league clubs have been or about to travel away for warm weather training. Do you think Cas are making a mistake not going this year and if sowhy arnt we? To avoid trouble? Financial pressure?

The justification for warm-weather training used to be that it wasn’t possible to do ball-skill work effectively in cold, wet conditions. Short daylight hours and the potential for whole days to be lost to bad weather was also a factor.
However, with the growth in indoor facilities now available, I can’t think of anything that can be achieved in Lanzarote that can’t be done equally as well at an indoor facility.

We also play in England so apart from the two week of sun we should be used to this weather and conditions now

Also this winter hasnt been so cold. Literally no freezing temperatures (yet anyway) and it's been mild for this time of year.
