Re: 2020 Predictions
1) Wire
2) Sts
3) Wigan
4) Hull FC
5) Rhinos
6) Cas
7) Salford
8) Cats
9) Wakey
10) Toronto
11) Huds
12) HKR
Think with Ratchford, Austin, Widdop & Clark Wire have arguably the best spine in the league, they also have some excellent backs and a very good pack, think they'll be the best balanced side this year.
St's still have a quality side how they will go with the new coach remains to be seen but they'll be vying for top spot with wire I'm sure.
Wigan will be formidable this season with Burgess added to the forward line, I appreciate Hastings is good, but I am not convinced he's that good, saying that I think the top three will pull clear with Hull FC, Leeds, Cas and possibly Salford also pulling away from the teams below them.
Think it will take more than Siezer to make Hudds a good side, cannot see HKR doing anything other than struggling with the number of players they've had in and out, think Toronto with it being tough to go there will have an advantage over both of these clubs. Wakey and Cats I expect to be just slightly better than the 3 teams below them, but probably not good enough to keep up with the 4 x teams above.
As ever only my humble opinion.

I really can't predict next season other than to suggest we may slip down the table only to be replaced by the Whino's.

Re: 2020 Predictions
I really can't see that much changing in terms of the table barring Salford struggling to replicate last season given the upheaval they've had. Could be disingenuous given we were given the same expectations but I just don't think their squad is strong enough, nor quality of recruits being as good as those who have left.
That being said there are a few interesting questions:
* Will Hastings have a huge impact at Wigan like he did at Salford?
* Will Saints fall down after losing Holbrook?
* Will Hull's huge investment on NRL players pay off?
* How will Hull KR's 20 player squad overhaul see them do?
1. Saints
2. Wigan
3. Wire
4. Hull
5. Cas
6. Leeds
7. Catalans
8. Wakefield
9. Huddersfield
10. Salford
11. Toronto
12. Hull KR
In terms of who goes down it's open season again. McDermott knows how to win one off big games and probably slightly stronger than London. Huddersfield are a mixed bag but may be able to scrape through, so I think it's between Salford, KR and Toronto as to who drops.
In terms of Cup and GF, I'd wager Saints winning the CC this season. It's a long time since they won at Wembley and they'll be desperate for that after last year. If it had been Holbrook in charge I'd have been tempted for the treble but I think Wigan are more likely to last the distance.

Re: 2020 Predictions
Very early doors and as Maurice Bamford always used to say the first five rounds are the “silly season” where you get more than a few shock results. However looking at these predictions many have Hull and Wire finishing high up the table in front of us. Are any of you seeing anything different in Hull in particular that the Radford coached team haven’t shown before? Any of you having a re think or do you all still fancy Hull and Wire to come good? I always think Hull are a much tougher team to play against when Kelly plays, and I’m not sure Widdop is particularly needed at Warrington but suppose time will tell. I’m starting to think we have a much more balanced team with no big egos. Shoe horning players into teams and moving players out of position to accommodate them rarely works in my opinion.
Re: 2020 Predictions
Cas will do lot better than 6th I had tho I did say we'd win CC ...Hull lower than 2nd I had them would be my two changes

Re: 2020 Predictions
Hull’s final position depends on how lucky they are with injuries. Radders said as much yesterday.
Re: 2020 Predictions
If they got shut of Radders they would do better still would be another prediction ha

I had us in fourth, ahead of both Hull FC (5th) and Warrington (6th).daytona wrote: ↑23 Feb 2020, 20:51 Very early doors and as Maurice Bamford always used to say the first five rounds are the “silly season” where you get more than a few shock results. I’ve seen nothing that makes me think otherwise so far.

Don’t understand how Albert Kelly doesn’t walk into that side every week. Must be some reason.

Re: 2020 Predictions
He wasn't a particularly skillful player and his coaching relies far too much on the big lad running hard. When them big lads get tired or at paced, the team has no plan B.
