How on gods earth do you get that Bradford team is the same one as last season ?HuddsTigers wrote: ↑26 Dec 2019, 14:37 Bradford's side is still largely the same one as it was last season. They know each other inside out and have recruited former SL players like Anthony England too.
We started taking off first team players from about 30 mins and a lot of them coming on were kids. Cannot read anything into the game or the result. I thought the kids did extremely well and our forwards were pretty good in the first half too. Poor execution but that's to be expected with out full spine out and players playing together that don't or won't ordinarily.
Context, we had missing: Rankin, Feki, Blair, Shenton, Trueman, Watts, McShane, Cook, Moors, Foster, McMeeken, Holmes, Massey, Milner, Griffin. Practically an entire team.
Spot on mate as per...braytontiger wrote: ↑26 Dec 2019, 14:23 To put things in perspective Bradford are a part time team that’s been put together in the past 6 weeks with a few journey men and some decent youngsters, they will struggle to make the play offs in the championship.
We had a starting 13 in the first half that should have been good enough to open up a 10/16 point lead for our youngsters to defend. That said Bradford had just as many youngsters in there team as ourselves, again our young players don’t look neither fit enough or tough enough,it should be very worrying that we get good quality youngsters at 16 but by the time they are 20 they haven’t improved a jot.
You still think we have a strong squad lol

In all due respect there were only 2 academy players making there senior debuts today because 5/6 others played 1 game in the 1865 cup last season in a heavy defeat to barrow.HuddsTigers wrote: ↑26 Dec 2019, 14:58tigerfeat wrote: ↑26 Dec 2019, 14:40How on gods earth do you get that Bradford team is the same one as last season ?HuddsTigers wrote: ↑26 Dec 2019, 14:37 Bradford's side is still largely the same one as it was last season. I didn't say same. I said largely the same. Of the 20 players, only 6 were making their debut. 4 new signings including former SL players Anthony England and Greg Johnson. 2 academy promoted players.
Rest played for Bradford last season. It's hardly the new squad put together completely random and overhauled as made out to be.
It was a friendly, however the above post sums it up perfectly.braytontiger wrote: ↑26 Dec 2019, 14:23 To put things in perspective Bradford are a part time team that’s been put together in the past 6 weeks with a few journey men and some decent youngsters, they will struggle to make the play offs in the championship.

Given we had 15 first team players not playing I’d say so. The players coming in are, in the main, better than the ones they’ve replaced.
