Smith
Hepi
Holmes
Massey

Subs: Cook, O'Neill, Peachey, and kids.

Jesse seems to think that himself and Feki are playing on boxing day.

i would like to see Storey in the centre most of last season he played second row i think centre is his position what a work horse this lad is , Lewis Carr top try scorer the year before last ought to get some game time if DP is going to make Turner into an half back let us have a look at him in his new position ,friendly's are the ideal time to try such things

I would suggest, if fit a number of the new players will drop in, won't have done much in terms of ball work I wouldn't assume before the first run out, chances to see Hepi, Griffin, Olpherts in the flesh and Storey as suggested and Feki etc.

Not going to learn anything we don't know about this years players in this years positions.

Eden at full back at least we have nothing at stake, for me too many brain farts , the lad is a winger and a good finisher if given any space to work in , i would have much preferred our under 18 full back to be given a tilt

When you look at that not much quality in depth could be long season if injury's mount up again.

I mean giving it is a mix of first team and kids and we are missing about 20 of our first team squad, not sure you can make any judgment from this squad.

Well no quality cover at half backs to start with same with centres fullback, and a super league standerd front rower to cover Watts and milly in less I am missing some one.

It is a Boxing Day friendly. It is not intended to be out first team. Why would we need cover of a SL standard?

We haven't got Rankin, Blair, Trueman, Cook, Griffin, Massey, Moors, Foster, Holmes, McMeeken etc playing.

I believe we are stronger than last year we played for the last two years with one half back Richardson will fill that gap the other players signed are an improvement on the players let go, The Boxing day match is a blow out i love to see our young guns take the centre stage cast your eyes over Summers and Storey these two if not signed on by us will move on they have loads of potential

Think larger squad don't all ways mean you have improved your quality off the team still lacking in some areas in quality back up. let's hope we don't get any injury's in these freindlys and have are best 13 out there to have any chance this year.

No side in super league as quality back up in lots of positions you have a core group of players who if Wells and Powell have done there jobs have a chance next season I don't see any side running away with it we should have a good a chance as any of the favourites
Any side who gets injurys to there main players is going to struggle Powell finds a way to keep the team competitive tho just look at last season
It also looks like we're prepared to back some of the young players in the future rarther than really on jourymen which can only be a good thing if we have young talent give them a chance
