Sad to here of the passing of one of my all time cas heroes ,can still see him knocking players off and getting a pass out to chuck to go under sticks,gentle giant off the field but one of the toughest men ive ever seen on it

I will second that he was one of the best props I have seen and as you say he was one of my best players up there with chuck and happy to name a couple all my condolences to his family and
RIP Denis you will be sadly missed.

Big Den was my coach and I can honestly say that it was a privilege to be under his guidance.
A true gentleman and my deepest condolences to his family

many happy memories watching big Dennis smashing defences, the opposing teams danger men were picked out for Dennis to run at Dennis generally nullified the danger, i believe he was in the touring side that beat AUS in their back yard , RIP big man

Sad to hear this,,, he has left a lot of good memories for Cas fans of that era, together with Johnny Ward, Hardisty, and Heppy he was brilliant,,, today he would be a world beater
