Re: test side
Guess it depends how long ago it was booked. Bali is a stones throw away from Australia so not that far away to hop on a flight, get married and fly back again.
I'd imagine it's been planned well in advance but equally if he's got ambitions of being on Tour with Eng/GB then I imagine 12 months ago he would have known he could have been picked so they worked around that.
Or it could just be a spur of the moment wedding? Booked it, packed it.....

Was a spur of the moment wedding. No friends or family knew about it, until it had happened.HuddsTigers wrote: ↑13 Nov 2019, 19:06 Guess it depends how long ago it was booked. Bali is a stones throw away from Australia so not that far away to hop on a flight, get married and fly back again.

Meeks. Gale and Holmes suffered from going to the England camps but they have to take the opportunity when they can. Unfortunately to the detriment of the club.
Congrats to liam and his wife.

Trueman is not named in the squad ive seen mate . Both love rugby and bbc have no Tureman in there ! I just hope hes enjoyed the experiance and is not frustrated at the pathetic performances !!

Re: test side
I don’t mind Trueman going and not being used. Chance to observe and pick up things. Experience.

Re: test side
So this from Bennett earlier in the week is a load of rubbish then;
Bennett says half-backs George Williams and Jake Trueman will almost certainly play against Papua New Guinea after being the only members of his initial 24-man squad not to get a game so far.
"There won't be any wholesale changes," he said. "I'll make a few because a couple of the boys haven't had a game.
"I don't want them away for a month without giving them a game of football. They are quality players and I need to see how they go."

I hope you’re right but in view of the quality of the muppets who run our sport, I really wouldn’t count on it

Sky are still showing the 21 with a ‘probable’ 19 but also saying Handley could get a game depending on injuries
Can’t find a named 19 on BBC

Re: test side
So England upgrade to become British Lions, which should make them better, then lose all 4!!
Re: test side
Put us back 10 years with that performance. Picks players just because they play in Australia or the top clubs. Boring rugby. Playing players out of position. All come home to roost today.

Re: test side
We have all bemoaned our lack of creativity this past season.
Our recruitment has been and is still being questioned.
We have had a horrible injury crisis.
We have experimented with half back combinations as our first choice man of steel was out all season add to this the woeful state of our loos.
So with the pool available to you Mr Bennett your tour record is a 100% unmitigated failure.
Living in the past no preparation for the future.
Nailed on to get his contract renewed.
Well done P. N. G.
