Not by any stretch.
Well we haven’t won anything that most on here want to count since 1994 so that can’t be a benchmark for the quality of the team.
your words illustrate how successful Sky have been at reinventing the sport to their own gain when you elevate the Regal Trophy above the League Championship.

Not so sure it looks like a squad that will challenge for trophies but it's certainly one that looks blessed with a little more pace and inventiveness than this years and there looks to be strength in depth in the pack which is always a positive given our recent injury history and it gives me grounds to be cautiously optimistic for the coming season. The odds would suggest we'll be in the mix for the top five albeit a way behind Saints and Wigan who on our book can't be split at 3/1 with perennial under achievers Warrington at 9/2 and the Pacific Islanders formerly known as Hull at 8/1, after that it's Cas,Leeds and Catalans expected to be in the mix for the last play off spot. Obviously Salford have shown this season you can be competitive with a squad that's not brimming with big names so you wouldn't say it was cut and dried by any means but hard to see anyone outside the top seven in the betting being in the play offs. The most interesting point for me in the discussions amongst the odds compilers is that most saw the Richardson/Gale swap being far more beneficial for Cas than Leeds.

Salford's squad shouldn't of been challenging for a trophy this year, but they did.

Our 2017 team on paper was one of the best in the league, yet Leeds pipped up. You need an incredible amount of good luck as well as a good team to win trophies.

I'm glad he has admitted mistakes was made last season which led to unnecessary injuries,or I would have been amazed if they were going with the same format as last year.hopefully alot less injuries this year which absolutely cripled us.
