2020 Kit

Post by Ryan Sheridan's Hat » 21 Oct 2019, 13:05

Does anybody know when next year's kit will be released? My lad is mithering the life out of me for a shirt with Richardson on the back! I imagine a pre Christmas release but was hoping it may be sooner!!

The home shirt and third kit were announced on 29th October last year. Alternative/away shirt in December before Christmas :)

Other clubs have released theirs so I can't imagine ours won't be too far away.

am I reading this correctly, the club actually don’t know when they’ll be presenting the new kit?!

Would you believe me if I told you it’s because the marketing team are all on holiday at the same time?

Yes. I would.

One of the most important things Wells or Powell could do, even though they are on the footballing side, is fight to have a business manager or 'director of operations' appointed.

An up and coming recruit could come in and within a year change our processes and off field ethos and performance by steering things such as this and no doubt hundreds of other things.

I might write to Ian Fulton !

I'd do it myself for little reward, but, might struggle keeping my emotions in check with certain folk there.

Is it more to do with not knowing exactly when the kit will arrive from the overseas manufacturer.

Imagine the complaints if we announce the kit design but then cant supply the demand with the actual product. They will have an estimated date of arrival but you cant predict a specific date with it probably being aboard a boat somewhere.

I can remember the days when we did not have the kit available for sale until after Christmas - not doing to bad on that front

The club is probably bracing itself for the "its orange" complaints, but as you say it will be down to the suppliers sending the stock.
