Class signing, excellent prospect and already a great goal kicker, with Truey, should help take us back to the heights we were at in 2017, can't wait for next season!
Welcome to the Jungle Danny!
Take a lot more than Richardson to take us back to the standard we achieved in 2017. not only have we lost our man of steel in Gale but runner up also in Hardaker, a running stand off in Roberts and a quality centre in Webster, plus our top forwards back then are now in the twilight of their playing days.
I'd settle for us playing a bit of entertaining rugby again and looking at how other squads are shaping up a mid table finish.

Love your optimism but we’ll be miles of that standard.
2017 was a pure fluke with every one of our players hitting their career highs with barely an injury all season. The bookies have us finishing mid table and they won’t be far wrong

A real gem of a signing, should invite a few moves that surprises the opposition, and puts teams under pressure, which is something we have lacked for 2 years. I certainly would like 1 more quality signing to really complement this positive news and to get me thinking we just might be a bit of a force again.

Let's just hope we can retain their services. Because when Powell works his magic people come sniffing. And as we all know money talks. Especially with Truey on other side of the world he is now in the shop window.

Lets' hope there is some cash left over from the Gale deal for a big nasty prop to complement the Richardson signing!

Time will tell with him I think.
As a general rule, you don’t catch the teams ahead of you by signing the players that can’t get in their team.
However, Saints have a history of letting players leave who then do very well elsewhere.

Of all the new signings for 2020, this one has to work out well.
Otherwise we will have to endure P.M or Ellis at half back at some point next season.
I wish D.R well.

Like this signing. I note his own comments that he is a good talker who can steer the ship, sounds like he knows the job he needs to do at Cas and we have the coaches to help him develop into it.
Exciting partnership. Starting to look forward to next year.
Personally I just hope we can get shut of a bit more of the dead wood and recruit 1/2 more good players.

A Big nasty prop
What constitutes this nowadays? Don’t we already have Liam Watts? Who else has “a big nasty prop” in today’s game?

Best three props this season have all been english
Dont need to be nasty to just put your head down and run with intent

Im hoping he moves to right side with Mcmeeken and takes Trueman with him leaving us with Richo Shenny n Eden to get us back to our 2017 style of attack.

I think we will defiantly go back to a open attacking style of play that would be our strength, last season our attack was one of the poorest in the comp hence we decided to try and grind teams down
I don't agree with people saying we will be mid table I think we will be too 5 and if we do better than that may depend on if we bring another couple of players in maybe during the season as we like to do, we should have enough cap space available to do that
And we can't afford injurys like we had last season I cringe to think Ellis will be back up half back but no other super league club were ever going to take him off our hands
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

What makes this signing even sweeter is, having watched the 9s these last 2 days, Widdop and Austin who are probably costing Warrington the best part of 500k+ a year, look past it.

Tongue in cheek, An other prop with a bit of grunt, a good offload and a ball handler.

Got ya Shug. I’d love an Alex Walmaley type to compliment Wattsy. As ever, I think we’re one or two quality players away from REALLY challenging in 2020....a prop and a full back (one if Rankin comes good).

Fantastic signing!
I don't want to join the moaning gang but, given that this was all sorted weeks ago, couldn't the club have done better than put a picture of him on the website in a Saints kit? Surely the obligatory photo of him at the ground in a Tigers polo and holding a Tigers shirt wouldn't have been too difficult to arrange?
Oh for fecks sake
