Please be careful Vinnie. Whilst I do not doubt your genuine concern over the ability of the Pussies to pay it back, you may need more than the 'evidence' of Google to defend libellous statements you may make.

I think the crux of the matter for the ‘faithful’ abandoning the season tickets isn’t for what they see as poor recruitment or stadium facilities. It’s the constant switching of games for sky. Many people work shift patterns that are non flexible.
Last season we only had 3 home games on a Sunday. 3 Thursday home fixtures and 8 Friday home fixtures and 1 Saturday home fixture.
If you’re rota’d to work Friday evenings or your shift finishes at say 6 or 7 you will struggle to get to the game.
It’s the unpredictability of fixtures once published that prevents people committing to season tickets. Especially as money is tight for just about everyone these days.

A dedicated Cas fan who has time on his hands, and a bit of experience of coaching RL, Lets face it we have loads on hear who seem qualified for the job.

If I was fit I would relish the job.

The Manager isn’t the coach. It’s just someone who is going to support by making sure the kit is put out etc.

Don’t agree with it being voluntary but suited for someone local who wants to get close to coaching staff, perhaps learn a thing or two about professional environment or even someone retired with a bit of time on their hands to support the club.

Why arent WMDC offering Cas a non returnable £3 million quid? if its good enough for the polecats its good enough for us
As far as I am aware, Wakey are paying back the loan at the rate of about 290K per year. There is no interest. The annual payment is slightly higher than the rent they used to pay to the 8mm group who used to own Belle Vue. The big question is - where is the money coming from for the re-furb and new stand at Belle Vue.

Gotta say I agree with Vinnie the comments on the Axiom front, this maybe, sometime, never thing is worse than Brexit,to move forward the club needs definitive answers not false promises, and if none are forthcoming pull the plug and let's see what we can do improve what we've got. On the season ticket front I will unashamedly not renew, and I'm not a fair weather fan
It is solely down to the fixture changes this year costing me money, simple, but I'll still be rocking up whenever I can. Between me and my mates 17 games were missed over the course of the season at twenty odd quid a pop so not an insignificant sum or if you want to look at it another way enough to buy 11 vandal proof toilet door locks which would keep the moron element amused for a while trying to kick them off. But the club isn't or should never be beyond criticism and at times they need to be held accountable and while Vinnie has the right to stamp his foot we all occasionally need to vent a little spleen.

A few years ago I was talking to a well known journalist and he told me a lad he had mentored was doing the media role at cas.

That must be a good payer?? You are [Cut out the swearing] joking mate he’s a work experience lad doing it for free!!

So , without paying interest, Wakefield Trinity are stealing from every tax payer in the five towns, again. And just how long before they decide not to pay at all, history does repeat itself with that bunch of scroungers

Vinne
I have my ticket for next year.Never miss.

I am content in letting the BOD run the club how they see fit.
There is no shareholder voice now but I have got over it.
I go when I can but agree Sky make going to matches difficult by switching dates.
That said they are the pay masters.
Good to see you are well

i hope our second team is going to be competitive not just an exercise to comply with with what as been passed by the RL, if you are wanting a coach to coach for nothing heaven knows what they will want to pay players not on contract to make the numbers up

I would imagine we will use some of the York players who aren't getting game time to make the numbers up in our second string.

We have 29 contracted players, and maybe a few more to come. Unless we have lots of injuries again, some of those wont get a game, unless we loan them out and pay for them to play for someone else, add some of the up and coming youngsters and we will have a squad of match fit players ready to go when called up, and the first 17 will have compertition for their place

when we have no match on Sunday i would love a double header 16S/19S and the reserve team , keeping away from the TV games Thursday and Friday and the amateur games Saturday

we should adopt the aussie country rugby idea, the play U18s, second grade and first grade all in the same afternoon, that would make sundays perfect darnt lane.

Its ruby league not wendyball, since when has the state of the pitch mattered as much at the loos, i expected comments about urinals overflowing etc etc etc
