Where do they play top flight rugby in the mines?

If folk don't go watch Cas because te facilities are poor then the Club is losing income. If they invest in better facilities, even to covere a few years, the Club may benefit and be able to obtain a better squad as well as delivering a better customer experience - win, win.

Tigers Together fulfilled this role, from organising the stadium petition, to revamping the firework display and increasing the profit 10fold. Plus one of the members totally revamped the ticket system and saved the club £14,500 in fees. Staffed tea/food in the u 16/19s matches. Created the volunteer database, devised and handled the complaints procedure. Added to the players contracts and loads more, plus raised £30k in 18months for the club.
Lots more including getting tradesman to plaster, plumb, repair boiler, ice making machines, bottle fridges, the marquee, repair and paint windows, plus loads more at no cost. Loads more as well.
Sadly the TT folded after the relationship with the club soured, mainly as the TT members felt used and that the new regime simply did not want to work with them.

Not sure how the club let a relationship like that sour if it was doing all them things on a volunteer basis for the club

If the punters dont look after the loos then they have what they deserve, from my days as a pub landlord , the ladies loos were always the dirtiest and most vandalised, so in my opinion the shrinking violets should just get on with it, theyre gonna smash it up sooner or later, maybe education is more of an answer than [REMOVED] house door locks. There are more pressing matters than this for our club

I've only been in a few ladies toilets in my time, however I've always found them cleaner and tidier than the mens.

Also hand cream and moisturiser in a couple. What's all that about? I am happy going into a men's and not wadibg through pee in my new trainers and one with a toilet seat.

Back to the facts. The club is doing nothing to address this trend.

Barring 2013 and 2017 (significantly up due to sell out vs Wakefield in Super 8s for LLS and two other 5 figure crowds), we have remained pretty static.

Had a look at figures as looking to compare vs other clubs - not sure if yours include some miscalculations or include other games, as I get different figures just looking at our H games for regular season and Super 8s. Unless RLP is giving me wrong data.

This is what I have:

2013 - 6288 (Millward era/Powell takes over)
2014 - 7068
2015 - 7098
2016 - 7480
2017 - 8779
2018 - 7604
2019 - 7253

Remained pretty stagnant and we are only a few hundred out here and there and up on Powell’s first few seasons.

Incidentally, Thurs night games started in 2014. Hard to believe it’s been that long.

Some comparisons between 2014 and 2019 from other clubs:

Catalans 8062 - 10259 (Nou Camp included, 8621 without) +600 on games played in Perp.

Hull: 11159 - 11478 (incidentally down from 11811 last year - fluctuates up and down, gone as low as 10.9k in 2015)

Hull KR: 7848 -8185 (increase of 300 per game)

Wigan: 14102 - 11687 (drop of 2500 fans, an alarming slide despite winning the GF in 2018)

Will do some more over the weekend.

It didn't but for some reason you likened watching rugby to working down the pit. Clearly there is no comparison so your comment was pointless.

They counted the season ticket holders as all present, even though they had to pay as it was a play-off game.
I think there’s a wider issue about the play-off games to be honest. Season Ticket holders might feel aggrieved at having to pay to attend, especially where there is the option of watching from home, but attendances are very low at what should be the biggest games of the season.

You want to read the post again it was likened to what condition the toilets were to use and the point was there were no toilets down the mines so if anyone’s comment was pointless it is yours

I fail to see a link between the toilet facilities provided for workers in mines in the 1970s and 1980s and those provided for customers attending a sporting event in 2019.

Ive only just read this thread,

I just cannot believe the individuals whom defend and deflect the state of our toilets.

NOBODY LIKES TALKING ABOUT TOILETS ON A FORUM! How boring...

However, it’s a complete embarrassment but not only that, folks have clearly stated that they are not attending for fear of being caught short and having no confidence in the most basic of facilities.

Don’t give me the rubbish of locks being kicked off either. I’ve never heard something so lame. Anybody knows that you can screw on and bolt on the most basic of ‘bolt’ locks anti vandal toilet locks. It doesn’t take a genius to research and implement.

It would be interesting if somebody compiled a spreadsheet of works needed. It then could be dessimated to the fans in the trade whom have volunteered to help. It just needs someone to

TAKE OWNERSHIP OF OPERATIONAL ISSUES AT THE CLUB

I’d also like to know whom alienates TT, or ex players, or the like. Whom in particular is the bad apple. I’ve never liked Brattan’s attitude to be honest, is he responsible for fostering club relationships ?

It would be a breath of fresh air if the club brought in an off field operational director to review the systems and processes in place whilst assessing current assets, etc.

Again - to the defenders of the toilets -get a grip. Seriously. You’re embarrassing yourself by showing a complete lack of vision and respect for you on the forum clearly wanes!
