I found this thread quite interesting finding out about different well known Cas fans. I don't understand why some get so wound up about it. I have no problem reading about a Yorkshire cricketer even though I support Warwickshire. There should be more threads slightly off topic, it makes a change from the normal threads that often become repetitive and eventually end up talking about the same issues

For me, its because the thread has got nothing to do with Rugby League or Cas Tigers (really), it's a 'Cricket' post. If people wanted to read about cricket they could go to 'Other Sports'. But I'm biased because I can't think of a more boring past time than cricket. I thought Chris Silverwood was possibly a new signing, board member, club member at Cas - other than a link to cricket, I still don't know or care who he is.

This section of the Forum is titled "Anything Tiger" and as Chris was/is a Cas fan I regard him as a "Tiger".

As I oftern heard Matthew Hoggard linked to the Rhinos I guess there is some possiblity of Cas Tigers gaining some publicity the Silverwood and as stated above, it's nice to know we have some (in)famous fans.

Even though he's played for Cas Cricket Club, Geoff Boycott is a Flat Capper, as well as being a Man U fan, they can both keep him!
