Jamie Ellis
Re: Jamie Ellis
Tbf the thread about Ellis is whose going to be back next year as well
Just a bit sad in my eyes we've let go players who would have fit the bill perfectly

Re: Jamie Ellis
The bottom line is we are not a club that prioritise’s youth development under DP’s tenure. Without adding all the names of players up I imagine the turnover of journey men we have seen come and go is very high in the past 5 years that as run into probably 100s of thousands whilst the youth continues to have a very small budget year in year out. Somewhere there as to be a balance between the two.
Re: Jamie Ellis
I agree mate Powell does thing his way and he's being succesfull
I just think sometimes we seem to make things up as we go along surely it's better to pay a bit more to keep young players who have a chance rarther than fill there places with journeyman

Re: Jamie Ellis
Matty Smith would be a good backup, he’s worked with Danny before and brings experience with him aswell.

Smith is slower than frozen treacle

Brierly out of the reckoning love rugby league reports along with Ellis he as signed for HKR
Re: Jamie Ellis
One thing for certain we are extremely light in the 6/7 and anyone that thinks Pete or rankin are the answer to the back up can't have watched enough of us last year terrible at time.

Re: Jamie Ellis
Looking at the comings and goings in 2019, so far Powell has done what Ive hoped for a season.
The only player who could be described as a probable first 17 squad player is Minikin.
The rest wouldn't be near a starting 17.
He's been ruthless.

i must agree every signing seems a step in the right direction i too would have liked to have kept Minikinstevieblunder wrote: ↑06 Dec 2019, 10:35 Looking at the comings and goings in 2019, so far Powell has done what Ive hoped for a season.

Re: Jamie Ellis
DP has cut hard with the squad and tbh, I don't know of a player not worth his place in the squad. I'm talking not of the new signings but the retained players.
