Strange post.

Smith is seen as a replacement for Millington, or was when he was signed.

For me he has become an integral part of the pack and yes, he's still developing.

For me , he will be part of the team for some years to come.

My thoughts too, if we've signed another prop, or, have one lined up. Get rid of two 'average' squad members for one decent one, but, what non over seas forward could it be, unless millo or Moors are hanging their boots up. That'd be 3 with a lot of cap space...

Doesn’t make sense not retaining someone who could still give years of quality service, against that of players who are into probably their last season as a professional player

Back to Smith, useful squad player. Would have thought it odd that we'd look to let him go 6 months after signing him and when he's been part of the first team.

However, the fact that there's so many rumours around suggests we're actively looking to clear space. If it materialises into something, at least the club are being proactive.

Saw Dan earlier and he said he's not sure where this has come from. He has a young family and a couple of dogs too. Can't see him uprooting to France when the club is on his doorstep, especially when he's been after the move to Cas for a few year.
