Re: Chris Clarkson
That's a shame, as I think he's done a job for us. My old man is the player welfare manager, and he says Chris has a really positive impact on the team. Best of luck to the lad. I often go watch York as Bootham Crescent is about a 30 second walk from my house, so I'll look forward to seeing him in a Knights shirt.

Re: Chris Clarkson
I like him, a sold professional who gets a few injuries though. Unfortunately he's behind quite a few players.
Re: Chris Clarkson
Done a solid and steady job for us in 2019. If everyone is fit (that's a fine thing) he probably wouldn't be in the 17. A really nice genuine bloke too hope he goes well for York and can get some stability.

Re: Chris Clarkson
Can only assume the club think there's a better use of salary cap space and I'd have to agree. He's been OK but nothing more than that and I'd like to think we can recruit better.
With Gale going and Richardson likely to take in a lesser salary, that + Clarkson's space should free up enough money for another front line forward you would like to think.

Let’s forget the need for a real fullback and quality centre (not a dig)
Bigger changes needed & will comment on the 2020 thread.

Re: Chris Clarkson
I'm happy with Blair, Shenton and Matautia for centre next season.
Ditto Rankin, Matautia and Turner as cover full-back too.
Agree on HB to go replace Ellis + Aston and challenge Trueman/Richardson.

Re: Chris Clarkson
York appear to have made an excellent signing.
Clarkson was well thought of by the Cas coaching team.
He always gave 100 % this year.
Can't think of any game when he was our worse player on the pitch.
I wish him well.

Re: Chris Clarkson
Been a good squad player for us, he’ll need replacing. Providing that is with an upgrade then fair enough.
Re: Chris Clarkson
Peanut signed for York by sounds of it as well.

Re: Chris Clarkson
I’m guessing he is basing it on that but can’t see York been able to afford his wages he’d have to go on loan and we’d be paying the majority.the machine wrote: ↑04 Oct 2019, 21:27
