Re: Chase Blair
Did anybody else think that the wearing of the boot might just be akin to the worst trainer of the week driving the reliant Robin all week?
Do you think maybe the lads draw straws and then the loser has to wear the boot out in public and they see how the fans and others react as a laugh?
Just putting it out there. I can't really see him being beered up, going to hospital and receiving treatment and a boot. Which, if your in your holidays and in Germany for a few days only, seems a little much. If it was broken they'd pot it and strained strap it. Not give you an expensive boot to go on the beer in. So it was probably taken with them.
On a night out once, I took red clown noses and if you were caught talking about work and not wearing it, it was your round. It didn't mean we were a clown convention. And yes, it was a great night and a few of us had lots of free beer.

Re: Chase Blair
exactly what I was thinking, the Blair apologists continually tell us that we shouldn’t have expected anything over the 5 months he’s drawn a wage but he needs a pre-season over a bitter northern winter to hone his skills. Looks like his pre-season may be disrupted so do we now have to wait for his winter 2020/21 pre-season to see the best from him. Hoping our forum experts can enlighten me.SWISS TONY!! wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 20:35 So do we have to wait till the start of 2021 for him to show some form as it sounds like he wont be getting much of a pre season for 2020. That's unless he gets injured for that pre season too?

Re: Chase Blair
I would imagine that a lot of the squad will be sporting boots, getting things strapped up and going under the knife. This is a chance to recuperate over the off-season. It could actually be a minor niggle that he's got that requires rest and no pressure on for a while, that he's been getting through with on injections.

Defo in a boot seen him this morning in Aldi, never asked him any questions as I don't like to intrude in their day to day life outside of rugby.

Re: Chase Blair
No harm in showing an interest between a fan and player. It’s when people start getting abusive on social media that a line is crossed.
Re: Chase Blair
That surprises me, I'd always thought the overseas players would go home for a month to get away from the wet and cold weather.

Wrong again, given Matt Crowthers latest update.
Re: Chase Blair
He's the new Richi Owen, if owt goes wrong it's all his fault, Cas fans have to have someone to moan about.
Re: Chase Blair
Richie Owen was a very good player -prospect till he badly broke his leg on a frost bound pitch

Re: Chase Blair
He was a great prospect - could have gone on to have a very good career in SL and maybe international. Unfortunately he didn't seem to recover, mentally, from the injury. He seemed to lose all confidence. Shame how things turned out for Richie.
Re: Chase Blair
Richard suffered a very serious leg injury, which didn't heal as well as it should have. He was in great pain at times due to inflammation and infection. He had a lot of ongoing treatment. This definitely had an impact on how he performed.derbystiger wrote: ↑31 Oct 2019, 12:35He was a great prospect - could have gone on to have a very good career in SL and maybe international. Such a shame, pre injury he was rightly being tipped as a potential GB fullback.
