I think there is a distinct advantage to finishing 4/5th, in that you are always playing losing teams until OT.
In our case (more by luck), next week we’ll be playing a team who lost last week.
If we win, we’d be playing the losers of Wigan v Salford.
If we win that, we’d be playing the losers of Saints v Wigan/Salford.
The first time we would face a team who had won their last game is in the Grand Final.
There’s a lot to be said for momentum in sport. Get a win on Friday and we’ll be playing teams who have lost momentum just as we are building it.

At times Saints, Wigan and Wire have been guilty of thinking that all they have to do to win is turn up and they have been caught out. (London v Saints was a prime example).

The worst thing we can do is to go with the attitude that we are going to lose. If Wire think we are going to be easy they may be in for a shock.

Let's hope so.

Interesting perspective on it and valid given the historical results in the play offs, obviously a tough ask but after this season and all its trials and tribulations there are seven other teams who would give their high teeth to be in our position, while you're in it you've got a chance and more importantly from a completely selfish point of view I can get there to cheer them on,miracles happen and there's a direct train from Thetford to Warrington which even allows time for a pie and a pint before kick off,the gods are smiling down, just hoping miracles come in Pairs.

Interesting perspective and a position we were in in1999 when we went to the fourth and third placed teams and won against expectations. So who knows?

Let's hope they have the same hunger and mindset as that band of brothers...

Very winnable game if powell picks right tactics and don't just try and play down middle like at wigan

Unfortunately the 2019 bunch don't have the fighting spirit that the 99 Vowles led team had and we will go out with a wimper like we did at Wigan on Thursday.

Don’t have any fear about going to Wire. They are in poor form and are struggling.

If we get into Austin early on, hopefully they will lose a lot and make a few mistakes. If you gave me a choice of 3 teams, I would have preferred to face Salford or Wire than Wigan.

I can’t say as I’m exactly looking forward to the M62 again but at least there’s plenty of free parking near the ground at Warrington :D
I’m backing us to fix things up and get the win. Cas by 10! COYF

Nowhere near. How many leaders in that 99 side...
Vowles, Deano, Orr, Davis, Fritz, Gay, Raper. Unreal. Even Sykes, Harland.

Yet fantastic as that team was, they didn’t win anything or reach a final
