Hull on Thursday
Hull on Thursday
hard to predict the result ,think hull will look to throw the ball about and we will play as we have all season and try and grind them down

Re: Hull on Thursday
Either way, it's win or bust.
Re: Hull on Thursday
Last time we played them at home we completely dominated them in the forwards, but didn’t have the quality to finish the opportunities that were created. It was the class from Kelly, Sneyd and Connor that won them the game with a few bits of individual brilliance. I’m pretty sure we will get chances, just hope we can finish them off this time. Looking forward to it anyway and we are still in there fighting. Just! COYF!!
Re: Hull on Thursday
Win and we go 5th
Lose and we miss out on play offs
Simple
With Hull playing Saints on final day a win should see us to 5th meaning we play 4th away in play offs which will be Salford or Wire.

Re: Hull on Thursday
I believe we'll beat Hull Thursday and finish 5th - Salford have Leeds and KR last 2 games and Warrington have Wakey Leeds. Hard to call.Swagger wrote:Win and we go 5th

Saints aren’t involved in week 1 of the playoffs . Are they really going to rest their best team for three weeks?

I think Saints will go full strength to build momentum going into the play offsTamworth Tiger wrote:Will they though?classycas57 wrote:Saints nothing to play for, they will rest emSwagger wrote:Win and we go 5th

Re: Hull on Thursday
I’d expect some of the ones that didn’t get rested last week to get a break, guys like Makinson, Taia & Roby with the ones that did (Coote, Fages, Naiqama etc) playing. So half and half. Then they’d go full strength for the last week before a week off for the play offs. Could be wrong though.Tamworth Tiger wrote:Will they though?classycas57 wrote:Saints nothing to play for, they will rest emSwagger wrote:Win and we go 5th

Re: Hull on Thursday
It's all about us and how badly we want it on Thursday.
Home advantage should be the difference between two misfiring sides. My fear is that their backs have bigger individual performances in them than ours. We can be naive at times and they pick us off.
The pack need to win this one for us.

Re: Hull on Thursday
Think we will get beat least it will save the embarrassment of losing to Salford in play offs.
Re: Hull on Thursday
Saints won't rest in the last league game. If anything they will rest this week. No way they will want to go into the play offs on a loss and off form with 3 week without playing a a game with a full squad. We beat Hull we make play offs in my eyes

Re: Hull on Thursday
Why would it be an embarrassment to lose to Salford? they have played some bloody exciting rugby this season and are in the play offs on meritMucky1978 wrote:Think we will get beat least it will save the embarrassment of losing to Salford in play offs.
the Loss against Leeds was an embarrassment
Re: Hull on Thursday
Whilst Hull FCs home form has been an embarrassment at times they have only lost three away games discounting the Magic Weekend and two of them were against near neighbours Hull KR, the other of course at St Helens.

Re: Hull on Thursday
With our limited attacking plays in the backline this season our only hope is the Hull pack dont turn up.

Re: Hull on Thursday
Hull will have to be really poor for us to get anything from this, we have no attack but Hull have players who can change the game in the blink of an eye.
Our forwards keep giving us attacking positions but the half backs are clueless and when the chips are down Cas rarely show up but Hull do.

We can want it all we like but if our attacking play is as the previous 27 rounds then forget it.
