The RFL may be contractually obliged to hold it at the venue they signed up for months ago?

Fev Rovers may have been a more suitbale location and they do hold many games at PO Road for the amatuer game.

The RFL have released a statement today to confirm it won’t be moved as tickets and corporate hospitality have already been sold.

I hope the club strongly protest this ahead of next season so that next year we have finals closer in the middle.

It's unfair for our fans to have to travel down the M62 on a Friday night to see this game when they could get 2,000+ here in Yorkshire.

It just sums up the total incompetence of those running the game. Two venues could have been pencilled in with the venue confirmed once the finalists were confirmed.

Here's a thought for the RFL, why not have a double header at OT?

Now the issue there is that ‘thought and RFL’ don’t go together. They don’t think.

The same reason our grounds man won't let others play before the first team, to keep the pitch intact. I can't imagine the RFL will want to showcase the final with the field chewed up from a previous game.

Sorry, I don’t buy that one. How many ‘curtain raisers’ have been played over the years, including at Wembley? Plus, the triple header for the cup, double header international at Coventry etc...

Not sure, not my forte, however, I know Stuart doesn't like academy/women/kids teams playing on the pitch before a first team game, especially if the weathers bad. How other stadiums/grounds man handle the workload when multiple teams are playing then I'm not sure.

To me this game should have been at old Trafford before the grand final then a lot more people may have turned up and a great spectical for the game

It is a bit of a shame, the venue will not help supporters and players of both sides. Attendance is likely to be very low. Let’s face it crowds are generally low, Cas having best crowds with 1500 being great. Will not show up well on TV with a pretty empty stadium when you would think some crowd atmosphere would help the teams and promotion of the women’s game.

i can not see the Saints public flocking to this match, not many of Yorkshire fans look forward to the M62 journey on a Friday night , when or the chiefs at headquarters going to use some common sense or is this too much to ask ??

Two grounds spring to mind immediately that could have held this game and would have been far more convenient for both clubs - Dewsbury or Doncaster. Bearing in mind that there will probably be less than 5000 in attendance either would have looked less empty on TV than the TW Stadium.
