I honestly think that it is not an overstatement to say that if it was not for Watts this year we would be in a relegation fight.

That to me tells you DP has wrote season off after loosing last week. Getting sorted now rather than off season, gets a full pre season then.

Did this season ever really start?

Gale injured so close to the season
Players fighting in pre-season
Countless off field misdemeanours
Injuries once again crippling us
Senior players not stepping up
Fringe players not good enough
Players off contract disrupting camp
Players who signed bumper contract extensions in their comfort zones
Minikin leaving at the end of the year, yet still playing better than 90% of them around him
2 x losses to Leeds

The only positives for me are;

Wattsy
We’re not going to get relegated

Big blow but a rest wont harm the lad. Been our best this year and carried the team.

the way minikins playing it looks a barm pot decision to let him go hindsights a fine thing not many would have thought wells was doing the wrong thing bringing blair in and letting Greg go i certainly didnt, interesting to see how they compare this time next year

Agree Minikin is miles better than Blair. Shenton & Minikin should have been next seasons centres.

Wattsy is 3rd on the MOS leader board, could even be 2nd after he's had some big games the last few week and Austin has been poor/injured. Our 2nd best player on that list is McShane down in 23rd.

Minikin & Clare both slated every week at the beginning of the season, both not doing too bad now!

Still dont think minikin is a centre. I can only think of one time hes passed to his winger and that was wakey away. Everything stops with him when he gets the ball. He never looks to pass!
Hes a decent player just more of a winger.

But then again so has Blair! Hes playing more like a backrower!

Theres no creativity in this team
Gonna miss Watts bug time

Am I the only one not worried about Watts being injured and think timing wise it could be a blessing in disguise.

Without disrespect, we play London next week who rolled last time out comfortably. We then have Huddersfield who may be desperate but no reason we can’t pick up a win.

We have a week off then for the Cup and by the time the 4 weeks are up we come into our key games and a fully rested Watts.
