I can see hudds, kr and London all winning a game in the last 3 and it coming down to points difference. Thinking London won't do it but hoping they do.

I think we'll make the 5. Saints away could be anything but the week after Wembley will help us. Hull at home a win. Wigan away a tough close draw, but we beat them in the playoffs.

I think it will be a big ask to finish in the top five tough fixtures.
It will be down to attitude and availability.
Any updates on the injury front re Watts, Cooky and Shenny would feel more positive if they were all available..
Our point difference and silly late errors may be the telling factor.
Pretty much as to who's for the drop.
London worst points difference but the more positive attitude of the contenders.
As many have pointed out with the exception of Saints it's been very open.
Unfortunately we have to play them, cup hangover the will no be wanting to fizzle out.
Wigan also going well unfortunately.
Sad to say l think we will have to settle for sixth.

We could actually be in pole position for McGillvary if Hudds go down given Hull have about 5 wingers, Saints have Makinson and Grace, Wigan have 4 good wingers, and Wire have Charnley and Lineham.
We have 4 ourselves --- Clare, Eden, Olpherts & Feki. How amny more do we need??

I think Cas fans would probably exchange 2 maybe 3 of those for McGillvary should he be available. You just don't turn down quality players when you have them.

Mcgilvary in a heart beat.cracking try scorer and amount of pens he gets from taking ball in from his own 20 would be priceless to us

Anyway you don't turn a England quality winger down I seem to remember us asking about him before

Yes, people are. Are they not allowed to do so? I’m one who thinks Blair will come good after a pre season, where he can learn our attacking plays. Defensively, Cheyse is as good as they come.

Not seen anything yet to suggest Blair should be in over Pete and Shenny apart from his highlight reel on yuotube, certainly done nothing in a Cas shirt as yet.

Let's give him a pre season before judging him. He's not doing much wrong but not standing out. He's playing ok in an ok team.

Hopefully next year he will play good in a good team.

We have Olpherts and Clare
So we could have 5 awesome wingers? ;)
Think he'll go to Leeds if anybody.

would stand out even more how bad he as being if was playing in a good team my opinion . In my opinion if was in a better back line would not be starting be on bench like said before would rather keep minikin . Its how it goes sometimes every signing don't always work out even with all hype . lets see if fumper is right plays better next year fingers crossed.

Salford are as good as in the play offs now. Saints, Wire, Salford, Wigan are probably the top 4, looks like it's between us and Hull for 5th.

So....

Pretty sure top 4 is sorted now so I believe it's between us and Hull for 5th.

We have a much better PD so if we finish level we get 5th.

Hull play -
CAS away
Saints Home

Cas play -
Hull home
Wigan away

Pretty sure it will come down to who wins next week as I believe Saints will want to win that final game Vs Hull as they then have a bye week in play offs so will want momentum.

Can we beat Hull at home and clinch play offs??

We should beat Hull next week don't know what's going on at that club
We've not got the nous or ability to break teams down we look at times like we could play till Christmas in games and still not score so first week of the play-offs it would probably be the end for us

Next week’s game against Hull FC is now the definite decider in my opinion for the last playoff place. It might be decided by which Hull FC team turn up. One would think that with home advantage Cas should win, but Hull’s away record is outstanding so be warned.

this to me illustrates once again what a ridiculous system the Rugby League play offs are that we are still in with a shout of walking away as ‘champions’ when we are currently 20 points behind St Helens.

No matter how remote the possibility a team in our position should not be allowed that chance.
