Salford are as good as in the play offs now. Saints, Wire, Salford, Wigan are probably the top 4, looks like it's between us and Hull for 5th.

So....

Pretty sure top 4 is sorted now so I believe it's between us and Hull for 5th.

We have a much better PD so if we finish level we get 5th.

Hull play -
CAS away
Saints Home

Cas play -
Hull home
Wigan away

Pretty sure it will come down to who wins next week as I believe Saints will want to win that final game Vs Hull as they then have a bye week in play offs so will want momentum.

Can we beat Hull at home and clinch play offs??

We should beat Hull next week don't know what's going on at that club
We've not got the nous or ability to break teams down we look at times like we could play till Christmas in games and still not score so first week of the play-offs it would probably be the end for us

Next week’s game against Hull FC is now the definite decider in my opinion for the last playoff place. It might be decided by which Hull FC team turn up. One would think that with home advantage Cas should win, but Hull’s away record is outstanding so be warned.

this to me illustrates once again what a ridiculous system the Rugby League play offs are that we are still in with a shout of walking away as ‘champions’ when we are currently 20 points behind St Helens.

No matter how remote the possibility a team in our position should not be allowed that chance.

Next weeks game is massive! I know it’s a Thursday night but I hope we get a decent crowd to cheer the boys on.

Despite our failure to break down sts last night, the defensive effort was pretty special and if we carry on like that we could do alright in the play offs - hopefully Ellis is just getting some match sharpness back and improves tenfold over this week!

To think we still have a shot at the GF (however long the odds) is pretty amazing considering how underwhelming the season has been on a whole.

It all comes down to next Thursday, it's pretty much a straight shoot out, winner takes 5th. Can't see either of us beating Wigan or them Saints on the last day.

Pretty sure week one is 2 v 3 and 4 v5
Then week two 1 v winner of 2v3 winners straight through to Old Trafford
Loser of 2v3 against winner of 4v5
Week three loser of the first game v winner of the second
Week 4 Grand Final

If he play offs were to start now, our path to OT would probably be:
Salford A
Warrington A
Wigan A
GF - Saints

I don’t think we’d have anything to fear from that until
Wigan. Thoughts?

Win next week by a decent margin and it could be

H to Wigan (we go above on PD with a decent win and providing Catalans don’t fold like a pack of cards tomorrow)
A to Wire/Salford
A to Saints/Wire/Salford
GF

Warrington will come good again before the season end and sods law would probably ensure at the same time our season finishes.....at their place!!

I think Wigan will beat Catalan meaning we can't catch them. I also think Warrington will beat Wakey meaning the only team I think we can go above is Salford if any.

I agree but it’s nice to dream.

Looking at the fixtures both Salford and Wire should be winning their last two games.

If we do beat Wigan, this happening would put them 4th on PD if they do beat Catalans since Salford and Wire have better ones.

Nothing like Wigan A twice in a row potentially :x providing Saints do us a favour of course.

That's it!!

We need Saints to win massively but knowing our luck it won't happen.

I'm guessing both games will have a same kick off time so there's no advantage to any team.

Leeds beating Salford this week and then a shoot-out next week isn't it now??

Cas were decent last night but Hull were bad.

Our assignment at Wigan strangely feels more difficult than Saints for Hull. Wigan, Warrington, Salford, Cas and Hull could all still technically finish on 32 points* - All still have something to play for as we stand - Saints genuinely have nothing to play for. Hang on to your hat.

*I am sure I could be corrected on that, but you get what I mean.

Pretty sure we can't finish above 5th now after all tonight's results. Teams above us have a far better PD so it's 5th or 6th only.

Meaning if we make play offs we will definitely play 4th away from home.

All the games should be on the same day next week same kick off time especially the ones where teams could get relegated
