Bring Rangi Back

Post by CasRus » 15 Jul 2019, 16:57

Guys, what do you think ?

He's back into serious training and after his first outing with Donny and him being 33 yrs old and maybe a couple of years left, is there some merit to consider this ?

Maybe too early to tell but it is thought provoking !

It could spark up a few miserable ugly looking faces on the terraces and, there's a sh..load lot of them to go at ! …..ha ha !!

Are you being serious or is this a joke post? He looks nowhere near in shape and Donny is his level these days

There are some things you just don’t lose. Guile, deception and the ability to pass a ball somewhere nobody else expects it to go. Rangi has these in spades.
But for his own sake, I don’t think it’s a good idea.

He's 33 and yes he's only just back and needs a lot more outings to get to full fitness for SL but never say never as he may just be good enough once he's had a few runs this season. It couldn't harm after all the drab we've been seeing this season daaan lane, and if he can get back to his former days and mesmeric runs, it would at least put a smile on those miserable faces on the terraces !! You just never know !!

Why waste cap space on someone who is going to be 3rd best half.

He's already said he just wants to enjoy playing rugby with no pressure. Move on.

He should have walked the plank. I can’t believe people would forgive him.

Forgive him for what??

We would have never made the grand final if it wasn't for him that year. We would of blew out earlier on in season and it would of just been another forgettable one.

At least him and Gale single handedly got us to OT and made it a season to remember.

Yeh what happened after that is awful but like I said. If it wasn't for him we would have never been in that grand final anyway.

You know teams have made a grand final without Zak Hardaker, don’t you?
Not quite sure how two players can do something “single-handedly” either - that’s surely impossible.
They were both instrumental, but let’s not forget that many players had their best season in 2017.

I'm pretty sure these 2 players did achieve a great deal single handed. People always say one player doesnt make a team but I truly believe If we'd have had Gale available this year we'd be fighting with Warrington for 2nd. Take Austin from Wire they're ordinary. So overall I do believe individuals can take you all the way to a grand final.
All coaching is, is taking a player where he can't take himself.

Think to be fare best fullback we have ever had Zak I don't think we would have made grandfinal with out him looked shadow off the team ever since but it is what it is got to move on.
