Looking at it like that kind if. But 4 players for 2 isn't fantastic.Tigersbarmy wrote:If Olpherts is to be replaced by egodo & gill I think that’s good business and If griffin is replacing Clarkson & Maher that’s very good too
If we go for a quota winger it needs to be a monster who gets us out in yardage situations and can bully opposition.

But Gill hasn’t played and Maher wouldn’t play with a fully fit squad. Essentially what we are doing is swapping the fringe players for first team ready squad players.

I’ve not seen a great deal of Olpherts but I can remember us signing a winger from London who I didn’t think looked too good and he turned out ok

I was always impressed with Denny even in his London days , a born natural finisher, I doubt Olpherts will be in the same league from what I have witnessed over the past couple of years.Tigersbarmy wrote:I’ve not seen a great deal of Olpherts but I can remember us signing a winger from London who I didn’t think looked too good and he turned out ok

No but the clips I saw of Feki today reminded me of Denny
Re: This weeks league express news.
I have watched Olpherts play before he turned PRO at Shaw Cross Dewsbury his position was always full back
Re: This weeks league express news.
He played in the three quarters for Sharlston Rovers.gateman wrote:I have watched Olpherts play before he turned PRO at Shaw Cross Dewsbury his position was always full back

Doesn't really mean much, Nick Scruton played stand off at amateur so did Greg Eden according to his interview the other day.
CLASSY CAS FOREVER
Re: This weeks league express news.
No one said it meant anything. We were both just saying he played in other positions earlier in his career.jackknife wrote:Doesn't really mean much, Nick Scruton played stand off at amateur so did Greg Eden according to his interview the other day.
