Salford Reds Friday

Post by tigerfeat » 15 Jun 2019, 11:31

I'm interested to hear what team people would like to see on Friday I know we've not great options I think Aston as to come back for either truey or Rankin or replace mcshane and play dummy half
Id be leaving four or five "regulars " out if we had people who could come in and have a go at doing better
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

Agree Trueman needs a rest. Aston did OK when he came in and offers more in defence. Really don’t know what’s happened with Macca but he’s a shadow of what we’ve come to expect at the moment. The rest? Really struggling to see who could come in and make a difference.

Like to see ranking fullback Pete Centre Ashton half back chase Blair on bench try in forwards too slow for centre now.

Macca has not been the same since getting injured in the same game as mitch got deliberately injured.

Never thought I'd say this but I agree - we do need a ranking (ideally a top one) full back.

But, what's a half back chase?

Way London are playing tonight, they'll give us a right game in 2 week.

Great win for them 12 30.
To go to Catalans and win, that’s a great feat.

Nothing to lose. Win and they’re happy, lose and it’s expected. They can throw the ball around and be carefree. Some players will and have put themselves in the shop window elsewhere. That’s the only shame about this situation really.

Just reading the above and am not one for being hard on players but as a cas fan I have always been in the mind set of well we are cas a little town we dont spend massive amounts of money so we are happy with mid table !! Not anymore we are spending the salary cap that's more then Wigan and a few others for that matter so the players need to be more accountable !!

Wigan not spending the salary cap.????
And Wigan are where in the table.
Sorry about the profanities.
This season has however brought about some shock results.
The old order cannot take wins for granted.
In the same way clubs ca8tske support for granted.
Look at Rhino's in their shiny stadium.
The RFL should be concerned.
Back to the Salford game.
Do we remember how to play with a smile.
Go out with guts, pride and determination that all we want, a win is the bonus

What ever changes we make its a loss.
Untill we get the halfbacks clicking putting moves together releasing blokes into gaps i see nothing for us.
Only way of winning is the same as the first half against Hull, play completion of sets hoof it down field and tackle like demons not giving away penalties,a hard feat if infringement machines Massey and Milner play.

Salford have pumped Wakey this afternoon and with London putting a score on Catalan Saturday, these next 2 games against them are no way gimmes.

Wakey were missing a lot of players, though. Can only play what’s in front of you but made it easier for Salford
