Every kid wanted to be Chuck Hardisty! I wonder if today's kids want to be a Cas player, and if so, which one?

What a day it was, twelve year old me with a white rosette and a pack a mack and I remember it was boiling hot. The whole family on the early train down. Not sure how many times we came from behind in that cup run but it were a fair few,it was as if it was meant to be and the H bombs,Reilly and co did the job. Magic magic day and even managed to get lost on the underground lol. Treasured memory with my old dad and one day, hopefully before I join him I'll see that chuffing brick I bought in his memory in the wall at the new stadium.

Must have been a hell of a pork pie, as in 1969 a pint of bitter was 1/10, so nearly 11 pints for a quid. Lager was 2/-, so 10 pints for a pound. Petrol was 4/- a gallon, so 5 gallons for £1.
I was at college and drew £2 a week for leisure activities. That pork pie was nearly £40 in today's money.

Thought this thread was about the little things we remember about the day. I am old enough to remember when we where a force and the size of the town didn't matter. I am also [REMOVED] in Tenerife.
