I will go along with you with Meeks and Jesse being our preferred 2nd row both have been on top of their games in recent weeks, but we need a replacement for Jesse so its no bad shout to have an England Knights player to stand in

Saints are very, very organised in defence so the only way to attack is to play off the cuff, such as off loads at every opportunity and chip kicks to make them wonder what’s going to happen next and upset their d formation.
But energy is also key. Allowing them to control the ruck is a recipe for disaster. Cas players need to struggle to get to their feet when tackled, so the ref sees that Sts are trying to slow down the play of the ball.
Overall we may as well try something different as our normal game as our previous efforts have been remarkably unsuccessful!

Problem is that playing off the cuff against saints is lethal.

I don’t see the harm in trying something different though as we’ve been beaten by them for several seasons now.
No side likes having to attempt tackle after tackle when the other team is off-loading as its very tiring. If we get beaten, at least we will have tried something different, rather than our usual game that never gets results anyway.

From watching Saints games on Sky this year, Salford looked like the first team to really take it to Saints this year. They threw the ball around and had a game plan. If you play Saints at their own game and play rugby, they struggle. They want teams to go down the middle against their big pack, they will win pretty much every time. Think it's time we went for it Sunday and get the ball wide.

Whilst voiding a straightforward battle in the pack is my preferred option, this has to be on the back of dominating them when they have the ball. If we put Warmsley, Amor and Thompson (if fit) on their backsides it will knock their confidence to play a more expansive game that is usually built on the back of their go forward.

Just knock hell out of 'em!

only way you going to beat saints is a excellent kicking game good field position . Got to make sure they keep receiving the ball deep in there own half .That also means not dropping ball in are own half or giving cheap penalty's mr millner giving them good field position because nearly most times they get in are twenty there going to score. think we could grind a low scoring game win out, but if it turns into a free flowing shoot out we will get hammered again by them. The wide pitch at anfield is a concern against saints,

If true then Clarkson and Smith straight in for Massey and Jesse. Everyone else stays in from Leeds game.

First time at Anfield and decided on the cheaper tickets as there is 4 of us going, we are in the anfield road end lower, are we going to get wet if it rains? Tigers shop assured me this was where majority of Cas fans will be when I purchased my tickets.

Clark out Maher in
Jesse out Clarkson in
Massey out Smith in

Pretty much 3 straight swaps from the Leeds game. Only Jesse being the real difference.

Craig Harrison said he's not playing at the weekend on full eighty minutes podcast yesterday and said make of that what you want, regarding the Wigan rumours
