He is a victim of circumstance this year, for sure. He would be completely different had we fielded a consistent team this year.fast hands wrote:This is what the Forum is about, peoples opinions. Transfered to Hull KR at 18 years of age, at 20 years of age he was the leading points scorer for KR, helping them win the Yorkshire Cup, also made debut for Great Britain at 17. Obviously not at his peak , but shows what can be achieved at an early age. Malcolm Reilly was only just turned 20 when winning his first Challenge Cup medal. Age is no barrier in sport as long as they are good enough.SREGITSAC wrote:The notion that any professional sports player would peak at 20 in hilarious, continue to be convinced that these posts are pure satire
Trueman is good, he has a lot to do in a team that changes week in week out. I’d like to see him rested but by no means think he should be out of the team long term.

Peaking? Don’t talk daft. But he should be developing and due to over-exposure this season he isn’t doing. Time for him to have a break.
Re: Aston/ rankin
Sorry Rankin for me with the chances given as not impressed ,Trueman by far the better player the lads form as took a dip but you could say that about a number of our players see a settled squad you will see a different Trueman

Re: Aston/ rankin
How impressed have you been with Trueman this season? Your whole argument could be turned on it’s head and the same questions asked about Jake. I’m sure you’d see a different Jordan Rankin, with our strongest 17 out, not forgetting that Rankin joined the club only a week or so before the season started. I think Trueman needs to be taken out of the firing line and given time to rest and reflect. Give Aston and Rankin a run at 6 and 7, can’t be any worse creatively than we’ve beengateman wrote:Sorry Rankin for me with the chances given as not impressed ,Trueman by far the better player the lads form as took a dip but you could say that about a number of our players see a settled squad you will see a different Trueman

Re: Aston/ rankin
Saints did it with Richardson.
Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.
Definitely give Aston/Rankin a try could always stick trueman on the bench, not ideal like.
But the lad is just not performing.

No it's not ,I don't agree with kick up the backside because he was thrown in the squad early, but rankin has more experience and if you are gona swop a player for him and you have no confidence in him then that's another bad deal cas have done.fords wrote:This your 2nd acct ?classycas57 wrote:Was thinking same flowflow wrote:Is it time to try different halfs trueman needs dropping for me not cutting the mustard.needs a kick up ass. It’s simple, just a case of using proxies.tigerfeat wrote:Ok cheers harder to do than I thought thenHuddsTigers wrote:Not if you’re using the same internet and same IP address.tigerfeat wrote:I know zilch about such things but surely if your using different mobile phones or devious you can have as many different accounts as you like on here?
It’s what sent the RLFans forum into a decline - one or two posters creating multiple accounts to support themselves.
Sometimes, they even forget to log in as an alias and do actually agree with themselves.
Not saying it’s the case here, but it’s very straightforward.

The use of actual punctuation suggests this isn’t flow. There are apostrophes, commas and full stops in here.classycas57 wrote:No it's not ,I don't agree with kick up the backside because he was thrown in the squad early, but rankin has more experience and if you are gona swop a player for him and you have no confidence in him then that's another bad deal cas have done.fords wrote:This your 2nd acct ?classycas57 wrote:Was thinking same flowflow wrote:Is it time to try different halfs trueman needs dropping for me not cutting the mustard.needs a kick up ass. If you can't say what you think and stick to it no matter if your going to be jumped on without opening up accounts to back you up it's a sad do

For the first time, I actually agree with Flow in that Trueman has stagnated a bit. I would rest him for Leeds and go with Aston & another - I'm not convinced by Rankin's defence at all, and Peanut has had his best games for us in the halves. Would it be worth trying Rankin at the back where we could utilise his speed like a Luke Dorn type full back? And play Peanut in the halves.
