It was thought Rankin would be back now but obviously something still not right. Clarkson was hamstring as well. No return been given for him. Matt Cook was a massive shock. No news on reason he is not even in squad. Would assume he has a knock.

I'd go with that. Plenty of impact from the bench.

Because giving young Corey a contract was part of the deal to get Garry Lo to Cas.

Bet you your house that he won't get a renewal.

aston did look sharp against fev mate but in their next outing amateur club hunslet parkside beat that same fev side.
would love to see him come in and prove us all wrong but i just can't see it
. did hear that powell suspects that astons dad interferes to much and overrides young corey's instructions from powell.

There's no denying Aston is a decent Championship player. It's whether he can make the step up that's the question. I'd give him a spell tomorrow but he'll probably come on at hooker to spell Milner

I feel a bit sorry for Aston it was a strange kind of deal that saw him come to cas shall we say but that's not his fault since then he's been constantly rubbished as garbage without getting a chance to prove anyone wrong even tho we were without gale Roberts and Ellis I hope he plays and gets mom award

I think we should just bite the bullet personally and play Aston in half’s with Truman and start Jaques at 9. Players playing in the natural positions rather than trying to fit square pegs in round holes.

even if the players you fetch in are not good enough and don't improve the team, with playing players out off position be a pointless exercise . We need Truman to have a better game this week like he did against wigan second half he is very hit and miss at the minute ,if any chance off turning wakey over.

Wakefield will have a similar problem at half back.
Both not regulars, we need trueman to stand up and be counted this week.
My worry is our forwards v Their forwards.
Which ever pack gets on top wins imo.

Aston never has and never will be a Super League player.

Rather throw one of our own kids in than someone we got lumbered with as part as an awful deal done by Steve Gill.

This for me too, Mata'utia's link up play from the back has been missing since he moved into the halves.

My only concern will be how well Aston defends on that right side, having not seen much of him play so I'm not sure how good his defence is, nonetheless I imagine he'd be targeted by their big men.

I’m very much hoping we’ll keep Fifita quiet and not allow Pauli Pauli to look good. Because he’s not. He’s a lump.
Fifita however is good if not best managed. Gang tackle every time & wrap the ball up. We should have been practising on junior as to how to deal with him as they’re similar.

I’m looking to Oliver Holmes having a big Easter.

Pretty happy with Daniel Smith by the way. He’s got a bit of Mongrel about him, is an awkward runner and looks like he could be coached into a good laker.

the Wakefield fans seem to think they are going to smash us in the forwards, Pauli looks well out of shape the weather is warmer he could run out of juice, it is suggested that Hampshire and Reynolds will be at half back both will have something to prove, Score CAS 32 Wakefield 24 attendance 8, 500

Another point about Smith is he would off-load the ball every tackle if he could think he was under orders keep it simple against giants

8,500????
We’d sold over 7,000 at the start of the week
I’d expect over 10,000

They do not gateman, you're being mischievous, most people are hoping for a good performance, it was all doom and gloom at the beginning of the week but with a chance that Lynne and Wood might play fans hopes have been raised.
