Re: Challange Cup draw
We play Leeds following Thurs on Sky so unless that can be moved it’s likely we will face an evening trip on a Thurs/Fri night too. That’s providing BBC pick Bradford v Leeds which is in same boat.

Mick gledhill as tweeted he believes that one game is Warrington v Wigan and the other Bradford v Leeds.

Hull are not the team they were 2 years ago, we would go over to their place as favourites for it. Plus I do like an away day at the KC, a nice Sunday afternoon wouldn't go a miss.

Re: Challange Cup draw
I agree that would be nice, but as Hudds Tigers has already said, we play Leeds the following Thursday, so it won't happen. Maybe Saturday afternoon, but it will probably be Thursday or Friday evening unfortunatelyheritage1926 wrote:Hull are not the team they were 2 years ago, we would go over to their place as favourites for it. Friday = Bradford v Leeds

Re: Challange Cup draw
Giving Leeds 2 days extra rest after playing a lower league team? Really? Just so some people can have a Sunday out?
Can’t see that happening at all.

Re: Challange Cup draw
In my view the most probably 4 are:
Salford v Hull KR - Thurs (don't know why but Salford to me is always a pick for TV, probably because it doesn't affect a load of fans)
Bradford v Leeds - Fri - it should be Friday given it's down the road and won't affect attendances, if the RFL have a spine
Hull v Cas - Sat - unless Leeds v Cas gets rearranged this the last day for us and for the RFL to get a decent crowd. If it's a midweek fixture they can probably knock off a good 1000-1500 Cas fans travelling.
Wigan v Wire - Sun - obvious pick for BBC

Agree with this, plus Leeds half marathon on the Sunday so be bonkers to stick more traffic into the area when it’s dealing with road closuresHuddsTigers wrote:In my view the most probably 4 are:

Re: Challange Cup draw
This is the RFL we are talking about here, the same people who have organised Magic Weekend in Liverpool at the same time as a Marathon and Half Marathon there. So, Bonkers just about sums them upSREGITSAC wrote:Agree with this, plus Leeds half marathon on the Sunday so be bonkers to stick more traffic into the area when it’s dealing with road closuresHuddsTigers wrote:In my view the most probably 4 are:

Not a fan of these Challenge Cup games on SKY. The nostalgia of the cup for me is BBC and growing up listening to Ray French and the likes.

Re: Challange Cup draw
Can knock a 1,000 off of Cas fans then thanks to the M62 car park and Friday night. Absolute farce that Bradford is Saturday when they're 5 miles apart.

Re: Challange Cup draw
This argument always seems to annoy me for some reason. Football fans seem to go in their thousands regardless of where their team is playing in the country and travel much further, on average, per game, than we have to. Yet, rugby league fans excuse is always evening traffic on the motorways. It's not just our fans, it's the 'norm' across the sport. It's about 45 miles, not Southampton. A lot less than a number of people on here travel to a home game. I get the argument for Thursday night games due to kids having school the next day, but not for Friday night games. Only my opinion and I know a lot won't agree with me, but it's a poor excuse to me.HuddsTigers wrote:Can knock a 1,000 off of Cas fans then thanks to the M62 car park and Friday night.
