With Rankin going to centre ?
I hope not! Rankin has shown some nice touches going forward, but he is one of the worst/softest defenders I’ve seen at Cas for a few years.

He’s certainly not the best defender.
He’s just getting bedded in to our structure at half back.
I’d leave him there.

Sandow is a good player when he's not on drugs or street fighting lol.

Think this is perhaps some rumour-mongering again going around with little substance.
Looks like there’s some substance now

Happy to be proved wrong that it was true after all, but not happy in the sense of Ben leaving. He's had a good stint at Cas and provided some good memories. Shame he's never been fit as we could have had a good player on our hands, great defensively and a fairly decent runner too. Gutted but time for everyone to move on.
Bang on Hudds, couldn’t agree more well said

Thanks for the memories Benny. Some dazzling displays over the years. Hope he gets picked up by another club. Be a shame to see him retire like this.
Hope we are able to applaud him for his efforts on Friday night.

Can't think he'd pass a medical for another club.

Glad we can move on . Us as a club can’t afford our big earners to be passengers

Some good memories of Benny. But from a fan point of view it's the best move we could have made. The lad has been stealing a wage for a long time and this was overdue. Just hope we bring in someone good with his Quota spot.

So Sandow will be announced to one of the English clubs on Tuesday according to his social media .. what do you reckon are the chances ? Surprised to see he’s still only 29 maybe 30 . Saying that his weight may be the same if some of these pictures are to be believed

fords wrote:Re Benny, suspiciously absent at games recently, interesting to see if he is there Friday
I was thinking same. Not been in stands (that i know of), not been on an media stuff recently.

Is there more to it than just an injury ? He didnt come off in only game he has played this year so when has he done it, in training ?[/quote]

Note to self

Strange that P&C released that statement with DP comments then hours later he left ......

At least its all sorted now. Wish him well and he had some great moments in a Cas shirt no doubt about that. Clearly the injuries are the reason why he has gone it would seem.

Hope we have somebody to replace him or will we wait an go for a big signing in 2020 with his salary
