Can only go on the BBC Radio Leeds commentary, but they suggested it was more of a 'Cuffing' than an actual punch. :pray:old cas lass wrote:tigerfeat wrote:Just hope mcshane gets sin bining enough and not a suspension coudnt see what had happened or if it was a punch he threw
What I saw it was more of a push than a punch.
Hope sin binning is sufficient but you can never tell with the disciplinary panel.

No Spanish.
Re: Next.....Salford
Salford are a very well drilled side two very good half backs and forwards that do the hard yards I said to my son going down Weldon road injury free if the price is right I might back them for the challenge cup, I was very satisfied to come away with the two points

looked like Walker had kicked out at Pete. All officials had missed it which is why it was all put on report and Macca took exception.
Re: Next.....Salford
a lots been mentioned about soft try's out wide, what about when their number 14 who went from acting half back from 15 yards out putting the ball down under the posts not a finger laid on him Minikin know were near, watching the hand bagging after one of our players was kicked I don't think a punch was thrown
Re: Next.....Salford
Think all there tries were soft tbh. DP wont be happy with the tries we conceded i wouldn't think.gateman wrote:a lots been mentioned about soft try's out wide, what about when their number 14 who went from acting half back from 15 yards out putting the ball down under the posts not a finger laid on him Minikin know were near, watching the hand bagging after one of our players was kicked I don't think a punch was thrown
However we won, were 5 from 6, so cant complain too much.
Could be far worse like Leeds and Wigan. Playing poor and loosing.

Re: Next.....Salford
Poor game over all. Atmosphere included. Salford were by no means good, we were just really poor.
Absolutely dumfounded by (and for me this was the game changer), when Adam Walker kicked out at Peanut on the floor, McShane rightly reacted to it, yet was sin binned, Walker put on report (so obviously someone acknowledges he did something) and then we get the penalty! I felt that totally turned the game right before half time!
Must say however, Massey had a massive game, so much so that I was screaming for him to come back on when Salford were making there come back.
Foster probably his worst game in a Cas shirt, but I can forgive that.

I was impressed with Salford yesterday, the spine of that side is good and they will cause other teams lots of problems.
Hit & miss performance by us but a ugly win counts on the League table!

That’s not entirely accurate. An incident can be put on report if the referee isn’t sure how an altercation started, so that the Match Review Panel can watch it back and apply sanctions if necessary.heritage1926 wrote:when Adam Walker kicked out at Peanut on the floor, McShane rightly reacted to it, yet was sin binned, Walker put on report (so obviously someone acknowledges he did something).

In that case then, Salford should of had the penalty for McShane reacting - if Hicks and his goonies didn't know how the altercation started, yet sin binned McShane and gave us the penalty - then that implies they knew Walker had done something to be penalised over and cause our player to react!Fumper27 wrote:That’s not entirely accurate. He always does, he is a specialist left second row. Wardle the same. Meeks is a right man. Again, not accurate. The penalty was given for lying on in the ruck. This happened before McShane reacted, therefore us getting the penalty was the right callheritage1926 wrote:In that case then, Salford should of had the penalty for McShane reacting - if Hicks and his goonies didn't know how the altercation started, yet sin binned McShane and gave us the penalty - then that implies they knew Walker had done something to be penalised over and cause our player to react!Fumper27 wrote:That’s not entirely accurate. But the ref can reverse the penalty for a reaction to the original offence, seen it done many times.Fumper27 wrote: Again, not accurate. The penalty was given for lying on in the ruck. This happened before McShane reacted, therefore us getting the penalty was the right call

I've seen a penalty reversed in RU but can't recall one in RL. Certainly nothing in the laws about penalty reversals. Many times you see players reacting, sometimes mass brawls, but the penalty still goes for the first offence.Flat Capper wrote:But the ref can reverse the penalty for a reaction to the original offence, seen it done many times.Fumper27 wrote: Again, not accurate. The penalty decision can be reversed on the intervention of a touch judge and i have seen this done many times, as will a lot of the older supporters. Now the same should apply on the intervention of the video ref for foul play.
