Might not use it until mid/back end of the season. It could allow us to bring in the player tgat willnuse Roberts salary on next year half way through this season and give us the drop on other teams (assuming someone falls out of favour mid season).flow wrote:Good news salary cap relief being granted for gales wage see how wisely we use it

Cannot get Hastings as we’ve just allocated our last quota slot to RankinSwagger wrote:Salford may hit major money troubles so may grab Jackson Hastings or somebody.
Thought he was only on loan for the season.Fumper27 wrote:Cannot get Hastings as we’ve just allocated our last quota slot to RankinSwagger wrote:Salford may hit major money troubles so may grab Jackson Hastings or somebody.
Though they meant for this season babs. Next season, can’t see Roberts staying so may well get both Rankin and Hastings.old cas lass wrote:Thought he was only on loan for the season.Fumper27 wrote:Cannot get Hastings as we’ve just allocated our last quota slot to RankinSwagger wrote:Salford may hit major money troubles so may grab Jackson Hastings or somebody.
Hastings would be a right catch if we could get him.Fumper27 wrote:Though they meant for this season babs. Hastings on a one year deal with Salford.

Who would be the better catch. Mmm

How do you figure he’ll be given a three year deal? What if he, as OCL says, doesn’t fit in with our ethos and DP decides to let him go at the end of his loan? Let’s enjoy the ride and what will be, will be.Mucky1978 wrote:Cas have said Rankin will be signed perm within the next 2 months. So he will be here at least 3 years
Thank god you’re not in charge of the wage budget.Keithy wrote:Just thought that I'd like to say that personally I don't agree with any form of salary cap relief. All clubs agreed to a salary cap and form their squads up to that amount or the amount that they have to allocate to players wages.
We all know that injuries form part of our game and Gale's injury is no different to any other that Cas or any other side has had or are now dealing with. This is why we have a squad of players, some young and some with experience who the coach decides will cover said injury.
Should Cas decide at some point to utilise this salary cap relief then it only smacks in the face of those squad players waiting for their opportunity to shine in the 1st team. Just to say in my mind it is totally wrong.
The club aren’t diving in and using the dispensation immediately so that implies that those squad players will get their chance early in the season. It is up to them to take their chance.Keithy wrote:Just thought that I'd like to say that personally I don't agree with any form of salary cap relief. Care to expand? As I said I don't agree with the rule that's in place.Mysterio wrote:Thank god you’re not in charge of the wage budget.Keithy wrote:Just thought that I'd like to say that personally I don't agree with any form of salary cap relief.
