Great idea.

Not sure why the link isn’t working.
Kids under 16 for the Catalan game can get in for a quid.

You'll have to copy and paste the link for the time being. Disabled them until new anti-spam measures have been put in to place as we're getting quite a few accounts managing to sign up.

in the days gone by I think the schools gave tickets for kids to attend for free, this for me would be a better idea to attract new fans , is the money raised by charging a pound worth IT ??

What I suggest is to get posters up in schools.
Get it advertised in the 5 town schools.
I could by mouth let the kids were I work know about it.
But seeing nice big posters around the school would be far better.

A lot of kids won’t see advertisements on the internet.
It as to be in schools.

Is it right that if you have this ticket you need to be in the ground for 6.45 or does the designated turnstile just become a normal on?

Dunno why the club bothers doing anything. Can't win no matter what they do with some so called "fans".

The same applies across Rugby League for that matter.

Gateman is a big Normy Knights fan....they charge more for kids to watch their matches. He should be happy

I’m not taking mine what happens if it goes to golden point and he goes to bed 5 minutes later. He will be moody all Saturday with 5 minutes less sleep.

It’s a no from me.

I was not trying to pull the club down for charging £1 for tickets I just thought to give the tickets away at school it would attract more kids to attend , and yes I live and breath Normanton knights but to put things straight the club only takes money on the gate for first team games, all the rest of our 15 teams entrance is free

Should be easily looking to get 8k plus for this, Friday night game or not. Great initiative for parents with a few kids, who ordinarily wouldn't be able to pay full price. Hopefully get's the crowd to reward the gesture.

Tigers are on dodgy ground with this one. What if you have bought a ticket (for a quid) and are late getting to the ground before 18.45? Do you have to pay the full amount even though you already have a ticket ?

It’s a perfect example of how to turn a really good idea into a really bad one.
Anyone knows that standing around in freezing temperatures for an hour is going to a nightmare with a young child. It’s going to put them off attending again, not encourage them as they’ll be freezing before the game even kicks off.
Kids for a quid = great idea.
Making them be there at least an hour before kick off = stupidity.

The inside of the beer tents will look like those penguins in Antartica. Everybody huddled together to keep their frozen children warm.

I think the club needs a rethink on this.

I think there will be a lot of people who have bought kids tickets who’ll look out of the window as it gets dark on Friday night and take the view that the ticket only cost a quid, so it’s not that much to lose. Certainly better to lose a quid than stand around in what are predicted to be freezing temperatures for an hour before the game even starts. By kick off, the kids are going to be bored and cold, so they’ll spend the game asking to go home.
I can see the thinking behind getting the kids in early to spend money, and it wouldn’t be a massive problem on a warm Sunday in August. But It’s a freezing Friday night in February.
