Next Year's Squad

Had a bit of time on my hands so have researched which players are contracted 'til when. The number after each name is the end of the season they're contracted (eg 19 is the end of the 2019 season etc.)

FULL BACKS - Matautia 21, Turner 20

THREEQUARTERS - Clare 20, Minikin 19, Shenton 19, Eden 21, Gill 19, Egodo 19, Foster? 21

HALFBACKS - Gale 21, Trueman 20, Ellis 20, Roberts 19, Aston 19

PROPS - Watts 20, Millington 20, Cook 19, Springer 19, Clark 19, Maher 19

HOOKER - Mcshane 22

SECOND ROW - Holmes 20, McMeeken 20, JSL 21, Moors 20, Wardle 20

LOOSE - Milner 21, Massey 19.

LEAVING THE CLUB - Webster, Green, Hitchcox, QLT, Douglas?

ON THE OUT OF CONTRACT LIST AND NOT RE-SIGNED - O'neill, Render.

Interestingly Cory Aston also appears on the OOC list although he signed a 2 year deal last winter. Have the club agreed his release?

What's everyone's thoughts on this squad, who should we be trying to get shut of and where we should strengthen...

Lewis is on a 19s contract but will train with the first team when required as will a number of others.

Good finisher but lots of improvement in other areas of his game before he is anything like ready for the first team but he as the raw talent.id suggest he's behind all of the below.

Eden
Minikin
Clare
Gill
Egodo

Not seen this lad play, what are his strengths? You say good finisher, do you mean pace? Awareness? Footwork?
Is the fact he's scored as much as he has down to storey?

Also how long do we think it will be before storey makes a debut? He gets rave reviews

Id say it's down to the entire right side. Think how Eden did last year and the 19s right edge replicated that. Only Callum turner that isn't eligible for the 19s again from that edge next year so they all have time on their side. What as to be said is that except for the odd few minutes in friendlies none of them have experienced playing against men so they have some distance to go before playing in the first team. But they can all play but all have lots of hard work ahead of them.

Eden look's like he's scared of getting tackled lately.

Seen a few times over last several games he could of dived or slid and bottled it in my opinion. Really getting on my nerves.

Then there's these silly kicks he keeps doing and don't get me started on these silly passes at the back that he does.

Possibly carrying an injury still?

If London don't get up there will be plenty after Alex Walker. Having a stormer tonight....there's a full back.

I think when Trueman is fit, Roberts may play centre. Depending on whether Minikin makes the change back inside and how Shenton goes.

we keep trying to find a slot for Benny when was the last time he shone for us, we have some young lads who can play center Robey Storey and Agodo most likely spelt wrong, I would have thought these should be given a go to see if they are up to it , we have the pre season friendly's to look forward to an ideal time for them to play

Roberts should be no where near are starting line up next year as people have said I'd try and offer him to London
Even tho he might have missed a couple more tackles I would have played Ellis over him every day of the week

Me too just for his kicking game, that's what was missing against Wigan,it was extremely poor
